Meet the soldier (German)
Has anyone taken a look at the german version of meet the soldier. They have black blood and the body parts look like toy parts. The neck bone is a screw!!
Does this have to do with the MASSIVE amounts of censoring the Germans have on games.Former Cutthroat, established Merc.

Its actually pretty funny. This is what happens when you have a nazi dictatorship handling censorship.
Some of the other ones are funny too. The meet the heavy one when he starts yelling sounds so lame its funny:

Re: Meet the soldier (German)
I'm german and I have to say living in Germany sucks if you want uncensored Games.
Everything is cut and you have to buy the Uncut Version under the Counter but its legal.
When you order it you have to pay more postage so they now its only handed to you.
Even Command and Conquer is cut.
Its funny to see, in Germany Age of Conan has less fatalitys in the USA it has no nudity.
You have to buy the UK Version to get it completely uncut.
Well we have the Violence cut, the USA gets the Sex cut so we both have something to chew on.

Re: Meet the soldier (German)
Heh, that's why I usually play the UK versions; even here in Austria where we do not have such rigorous censorship, we get the censored German versions very frequently because the producers do not want to release an Austrian version when there's already a German one. Anyways though, I like the English versions much better, since they usually got much better dialogues and voice actors, so I mostly use imported UK versions. They are cheaper, by the way, too. Look at the Battlefield series on EA Store for an example. BF2 costs 35€ in Germany, 30$ in the USA. BF2142 is even worse, 50€ in Germany and 30$ in the USA (though they recently reduced the German price, I think).[/Rant]
By the way, Australia is even worse when it comes to censorship. They don't have a 18+ category in their rating system; Fallout 3 won't be allowed to be sold there because of it's drug references.

Unless the majority assembles and votes to pass a law governing content in which case it's a democratic democracy.

Re: Meet the soldier (German)
Or there's more than one person in charge, in which case it's not a dictatorship. It could very well be an oligarchy. "Limiting the power of the freedom of content of few" makes no sense anyway, unless you meant to say "limiting the power of 'freedom of content' to a few", in which case it's just censorship, which exists most everywhere. There are only a few (compared to the masses) who dictate what we see and hear in the US. The ESRB, the FCC, the MPAA, they are all censorship and ratings people and relatively small ones at that. Last time I checked, I, as a consumer, have had absolutely 0 say in what content I deem to be acceptable in my media. Nobody ever asked me if nudity or violence is ok with me. They made the rules and I'm stuck with what's on the shelf. Yet somehow, it's still democracy. There is no such thing as absolute freedom of content, there will always be a censor, if only in eventuality.
Point in case that your dictatorship (especially the nazi part) axiom is wrong can be summed up in four letters that no longer exist: USSR.

People should not have to wear helmets. They can choose for themselves.
People should not have to wear a seatbelt. They can choose.
People should be able to get heroin and other 1 hit killer drugs. People know what they're doing.
Censorship can fall in the same boat. Now, I'm not saying such blatient censorship is right, but are super violent video games good for kids?

Re: Meet the soldier (German)
All three of those sound good. The problem is sometimes they fail to actually die and then they expect society to pay to tend to the parts of them that still function.
