Like. That makes me want to go learn how to play soldier. Like right now.Young Man approached the black monolith that emitted a faint glow and humming noise, and it became clear to him that he should fire not where the alien ship is, but where it is going to be. -Magna Centipede

I have moments like that at best, and I consider myself a not half bad soldier.
......Now I'm going to have to practice my aim on rocket jumping soldiers....

I dont know if it's some new effect you can get with TF2 videos, but at the 2:52 mark I saw wallhacks.

Watch the video in fullscreen and examine the blue bar that comes up in the middle of the screen. Clearly shows everything all the way across the map.

Not across the map, simply within the currently-rendered vis sectors. A long time ago, I was accused of using wallhacks, so I asked if I could show them how I'd play if I had wall hacks. They agreed, so I flicked on cheats, enabled that rendering style, and listened to the jaws dropping to the floor. Which was the only amusing parts because wallhacks take a lot of the fun out of twitch gaming.

Re: Don't know if you've seen this..
I remember back in the pre-steam days when VAC was non existent and the only way to recognize cheaters was to get the cheats yourself and test them with the other admins on the server to get a feel as to what to watch for. Thinking about the old CS 1.1 (or so) wallhacks where everything went wireframe makes my head hurt. I spent 99% of my testing time running into walls, never did see how anyone really did it back then. Of course, the aimbot was significantly different.

Re: Don't know if you've seen this..
This is why I play Soldier. I feel it has the highest skill ceiling, so I know that I'm constantly getting better, whereas if I play Medic, I feel like I'm learning anything when I play as him. I would say that Scout, Sniper, and Demoman would be the other classes up there in for their high skill ceilings. Not to say that the other classes aren't good or don't take skill to play or whatever insult you could possibly think I'm trying to say.

Re: Don't know if you've seen this..
Other than the in-air rocket shots in your video, Daithi, I just noticed an overall mediocrity. like the 2 missed rocket jumps at the beginning or when he forgot to reload 2 rockets for like 10 seconds. Not saying that the air shots weren't impressive, it just takes away from the experience when it's like "Wow, I would've done everything there better, except for hitting him in the air that second time, but I would've just pulled out my shotty and killed him more efficiently." Dunno, mixed feelings.
