Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
And that's why on Wednesday you set up to play against Fish's assembly later this week, yes.

Sorry I thought it was decided you would play Fish. It is possible we could play tonight but wouldn't know until tonight. And magna I do give a crap, I'm really sorry it's worked out like this.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
I'm very sorry too. I made the mistake of letting it be thought okay to procrastinate when I granted extensions during signups to find Altrenates. Not only did a team or two abuse me immediately by not finding one, but my concession was mistaken for a willingness to be trod upon.
But that's okay, I learn fast. Any future tournaments I run will just ooze with iron-fisted draconian measures.

Im trying to pull this togetter but all the teams that we were going to play are busy if ST could get back to use and set up a date that would be great for all of use.
thank you.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
AJ got an extra week and never got back to me with any surrogate team to play in 11th's stead. Fail.
If MD wants to play the final against AB, schedule the match for some evening from the 28th to the 4th. If MD does not contest, AB is winnar.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
How about the 4th at 10 EST? I have work for most of the day but am just as busy during the week.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
We were scheduled to play against 11th and they conceded as far as I'm concerned, so we won by default. In normal tournament settings that doesn't mean we go scurrying around looking for another team to play against, we just get whatever the max points were and move onto the next match.
I haven't had a whole lot of time this week, I've mostly just been on for some quick pub games when I had time and thats it.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
I'm not going to 'assign' points. This tournament structure clearly states that all points are directly earned. I designed the structure on the concept that the participants would participate. Clearly I should've spent a month training them all with a combination of conditioned response and rolled-up newspapers.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
I didn't see Sirus' post until today, which is in fact the fourth. I'm having family problems tonight, and there's a good chance I won't be able to schedule and agree with the match. I apologize on my absence and since I wasn't able to make the deadline I assume MD is the winner.
Congratulations MD, if that is the case.
And to my teammates in AB, I apologize.Young Man approached the black monolith that emitted a faint glow and humming noise, and it became clear to him that he should fire not where the alien ship is, but where it is going to be. -Magna Centipede

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
I'm sorry, I should've told all the crack dealers about it so you would've heard about it through the grape vine.
There are no winners. This tournament is defunct for lack of interest. I was a fool to try, and now I know that I was wrong when I told Chewy that small tournaments would stimulate TG participation.

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
The timing was a bit bad, everyone was going back to school and work, it can still work. The rounds were fast, maybe we could get the likes of MD, ST, and -F- to each host a tournament server towards winter and we could play a round robin, having teams hopscotch from one server to the next. Since we have so many games at once it would be not much more than a one time commitment and since it's winter time a lot of us would have more free time with vacation and all

Re: Three-Man Intra-mural Tournament
The format will work better as such. One day 5 games in a row with the same points format. Its a pyramid type elimination where the winners go on to play each other until there is one team remaining. Everyone plays on the main server and when their turn comes up they log into the other. This way it only takes coordinating one day and people can play on the regular server when its not their turn or when they are eliminated. With 4 teams it becomes 2 games per pyramid and we can play two pyramid rounds with the winners of each playing eachother or if the same team wins twice they are the automatic winners. Cant take more than 2 or 3 hours
