Surf maps
Does anyone here ever play them? I can't seem to find a single enjoyable aspect to them..

Re: Surf maps
I used to play them on CS 1.6, and I think I was pretty good. They were fun on there, but my experience is limited with them for TF2.

sadly, I am addicted to surfing...I have become strangely good at it in TF2, and yet I am still terrible in CSS

Re: Surf maps
I've seen them on the list but I've never joined one either. What do you do on them?

Re: Surf maps
Surf maps are user made levels where the object is to slide down ramps at extremely high speeds, resulting in enormous air. Each of the more skill based maps are more like a track you try and stay on to get to the end, where there are plenty of neat little extras, such as getting you to vantage points on the map for easy killing, and so on.
Worth a try, you either love it or hate it, but once you get pretty good, it is a nice way to just kick back and have some fun

Re: Surf maps
That sounds like an interesting idea. I dunno if it's exactly what I'd be looking for though.

Re: Surf maps
its worth a try at least. Lots of frustration until you get the hang of it, but if you like the looks of things, keep on trying.
If you hate em, totally respectable too
