Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
Check it out here. Too bad the TF2 community is inactive, we could raise a team!

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
I bet there are some top class tf2 teams in this competition so I would be rather scared to enter this
We should be more active with TF2, this game is so much better when you play together and tactical.

Yeah, the updates are definitely breathing new life into the game.

I am a pretty decent Medic or Pyro. I'm also a good engie in a pinch.

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
My best class is definitely sniper, followed closely by Pyro.

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
I'm rather average with everything, heavy and demo are probably my best 2. I'm just having hard times with those demoman stickybomb jumps. Which reminds me, how is soldier supposed to jump...? It doesn't jump at all for me!

Rocket jumps are easy. Just point your bazooka at the ground, fire your weapon and jump at the same time. To get really high, you need to crouch then do steps 2-3 quickly. You take more damage, but jump about 1.5 times high.
Sticky jumps have the same concept. When you walk over the sticky, jump and detonate at the same time. Two will certainly make your fall fatal unless you overhealed.

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
Maybe when the update is released we could get together and do a pubbie server raid.
I'm a decent Pyro, and an average Soldier, but am concentrating on getting better at Spy.

That's to jump really high, but it leaves you at about 100 health or so.

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
I've started playing competitively in Europe, at a decent level. 5v5 is a bit silly. All TF2 is 6v6 at a competitive level. It' only 5v5 because it's being run by someone who plays cod4 or CSS. I'll ask my new clan but I should be able to play this with you guys (can't see them entering it). We would have a chance of coming not dead last if only for the fact it's 5v5 and not 6v6.
You don't take more damage if you do it properly i.e. not take fall damage.
Ninja edit: If any of you are very serious about this then check out some pick ups. Don't do it without realising what it entails though. It's #tf2.gather.us on the Gamesurge irc I think. To be honest if it's anything like the euro one you are expected to be able to play at least two competitive classes (scout, demo, soldier). I am not 100% sure how the medic is picked though.
Ninja edit 2: There seems to be no problem with me playing with you guys in this.
Ninja edit 3: Signups closed yesterday :P

Huge explaining and then this :P
So you play clan-skill level daith1? Just out of interest as I've seen many other source games played by top players but how it is in TF2 when it becomes to the game of really good players? Is it more tactical or are classes just played very well?
How many gaming hours you have, as I really can't devote to this game

Re: Razer Sponsered TF2 5v5
I'm kinda wishing some of the TF2 TG members would come back, like MagnaCentipede and Fish.

Don't really now what clan skill level is but I'd take a guess at yes. I play soldier. I have 135 hours as Soldier. The clan I'm in practices Sun-Thurs 8-10 pm. On my own or in pugs I'd say I play about 10-15 hours a week.
It's a lot both (tactics and skill). It's about knowing how to play your class, co-ordination, with Soldier and demo it's prediction, with scout it's all about twitch. Medics usually call (lead). they need to be able to stay alive.

I'd say they would return to at least playing with us if there was a server set up (cough please Apo cough).

Nice to hear you got stuff going, and really nice you are playing soldier too, as that is my worst even though I've played 4th most with it! (any tricks/hints now that this thread is left for us to hijack!)
