They've made some of the custom hats to become available also (pyro fire chief). Woo valve! (damn was waiting for soldier update soon

One of the hidden links would seem to imply that you would lose your hat if you die in melee fight.
So when I finally get my first hat I'll get backstabbed by a spy that'll retreat to his hideout by disconnecting and I'd be right where I started.

Well, here's the list of all the hats that are going to be in that update: The List.
Also note that Sniper, Engy and Scout will have an option not to use their hat, even the default one they have always had.

I still want that first spy hat... looks so awesome...

I noticed the same thing in that link, but I doubt the system will grant hats to other users as easy as just hitting with melee weapon doesn't sound right, especially if they also ''steal'' the hat.

My bet would be that either you get a hat by beating ither player in melee, or there will be many ways to get the hat if you don't have one (both are wearing boxing cloves so beating other one might be the heavy way to get a hat)

I hope they don't make it so that the hats become piss easy to get, so they lose their status. Also: Spies disguising as other persons don't disguise with hat, so it would become good way to counter them (most likely will be updated though)

Luckily with my 3 hats I'll be one my way to trade them to some I need + plz more space valve, I don't know where to put my 14 jarates now!

Maybe someone should go and ask about this from Tigerblitz.

(6 hats in hes first EVER played round with 30mins of gameplay)

That's because of bug. Some people got lots of hats if not all of them almost instantly.
Some of them got them removed.

Day two is up.
I got all excited about the "new gamemode" because I thought it was hunted. Turns out it's king of the hill.

Sounds interesting, however I doubt 3mins are enough.

/I'm posting way too much now, nvm Kebab is aswell :P/

Actually the 3 min timer has been good what I've tried it on modded servers (which are the source of this mod), the cap was almost instant there so it is really easy to end up with other team left just couple second when the other holds it off.

And yeah I'm still waiting for the hunted aswell, I wonder how this is going to work, thumps up high!

Annoying that I'am still unable to find atleast one of these (I know that one used to in 1895)
