Console Support?
Hey just wondering, I plan on getting the Orange Box for my PS3. I'm running out of hard drive space and the idea of playing in HD is too tantalizing. Anyways I was wondering if anyone's heard the word on the playstation network interfacing with steam's network.
Meaning, will I be able to play with you guys from my PS3? I'd like to say yes, but there's so much more too. Will I be able to see my Steam friends? Will I contribute to my steam community profile? Should I just bite the bullet and buy the Orange box twice, one for my PC and one for the PS3?
Any information would help, I haven't been able to find any on my own.

haha yeah, check some of Undead's old Shadowrun threads for an idea on how unfriendly this can get.

Re: Console Support?
So that's just an opinion, or have you heard some official word? I mean I know Shadowrun got some flack but they still made it possible didn't they?

Re: Console Support?
All I can say is that I heard a lot of hype around/about Shadowrun up until release, then nothing. The idea is awesome, but really not gonna be an easy thing to pull off, the controls are just too different and not on the same level, at least how I've seen it in PC to console ports.

Re: Console Support?
I tore the 360 players up in shadowrun, I'm talking about 30-5 K/d's and none of them reached 20 kills in a round.

Re: Console Support?
Ok so thats what it looks like they're aiming for. I'd be pretty mad, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one, if the Xbox360 would be able to interface with PC players and not the PS3.
I just hope I can sign in to my steam account and connect it to my PSN. I wanna see all you PC friends as well as PSN friends

Re: Console Support?
Xbox360 and PC can interact through Games For Windows Live PC titles. The probablem is you have to pay $50 a year to do so, and they limit the options on the PC (like VOIP or server finding options) forcing you to pay, even if you only wanted PC to PC play. Crappiest idea ever conceived by man.
I don't recall anything in regards to PS3 to PC play for any title.

Re: Console Support?
But this is Steam we're talking about. Steam runs on XP, I can't imagine that to have Xbox360s play against PCs they'd force you to pay extra. Hey your Xbox live subscription is enough. I can't imagine they'd force Xbox360 players to pay extra just to play with PCs either.
I'm really rooting for the PSN support, but I'm afraid it won't happen

Re: Console Support?
No you do, 360 people don't have to pay to browse content on the internet, but if you wanna play games online, you need a subscription which costs money.
I think microsoft mentioned that you have access to playing Games for windows if you already have a Xbox Live account. I may be wrong though.
