question about pre-order
did anyone purchase this online from best-buy? Just wondering how this would work with getting the key to enter the TF2 beta. thanks.

I was under the impression that the beta was for Steam preorders only.

oh well, steam is just as good. Cheaper than Bestbuy anyway, $45. I think bestbuy had it listed for $49 plus a few dollars shipping.
Always wanted to play half-life and some of the mods, can't wait to try out TF2. The vids make it look like a ton of fun.

Depends is mach wanted the physical box/DVDs... then I guess he'd be missing out.

yea, the DVDs would be nice, but I plan on backing the downloads up on the external hd some hopefully things will go smoothly.

I only had HL2 b4 getting the orange box. Finished Ep 1 over the weekend. Too short, but good. TF2 is a blast! Already paid for the whole box in the fun I have had playing TF2.

isn't the orange box only on sale via steam? This was the impression that I got...

Yeah, I was also under the impression that the Orange Box was only available through Steam. Last I read there was no plans for a retail in-the-box version.
