    Seeding the server is pretty easy

    Its Monday today and about 2pm EST I decided to seed the server, within 1 min icky turned up, then 2 more, then a few joined and left. We got it to 12 in about 30 mins, and that was without any teamspeak rollcall. At 12 the server went to full in about another 15 mins. So it took about 45 mins total, no problem at all and on a Monday afternoon.

    Game is just on fire right now. I'm already kinda bummed out on the maps. I've played everyone of them about 20 times now, hehe. I'm ready for retail!

    I know how you feel about tyhe maps...


    I've never seen the TG TF2 server under 10 people, but i usually get on during Peak hours anyway. But its nice to know that seeding is easy, i'll do it next chance i get (Probably tomorrow since i got the day off).

    I know its coming, but Ill say it anyways. Heres to a run at the mapping community when its released. Keep your eyes out for Tf2 maps in the future so that we can enjoy variety, the spice of life.

    I find that just after 2pm EST is when it starts up everyday. Alert me when you manage to seed it earlier and I'll be more impressed. I'm assuming everything is too new for a server stats page.

    EDIT: That sounded harsher than I intended, but ya, Ultrablue SuX0rs.

    WTB Cornfield! Casbah! I'd really like to see someone come up with the "Hunter" games with the President. That stuff was fun.

    Any idea how the map system works for TF2? If a server is running a map you don't have, will it just disconnect you and leave you to find the map on the web for yourself or will it allow you to DL it from the server and then join immediately?

    Yes. The 6 maps you see right now, plus the valve developer map thingy and its updates.

    I opened my big mouth about 2pm, but I was on the server at 4pm yesterday for about 1/2 an hour hoping for a quick game. Managed to attract a couple people who dropped off after 10 minutes when nobody else showed. Just couldn't get the server started and that's been my only chance to play in days.

    I partly withdrew my claim, as yesterday I was helping to seed and it was slow with about 4 people for 40 odd minutes. It does appear though that about 10 is the tipping point then the server fills nicely

    After playing 2142 for so long with the ranked server system / locked map list this is going to be such a breath of fresh air.
