Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Heavy is the slowest moving character in the game and therefore should be allowed to teleport first in my opinion. Ideally, the Heavy would be followed thru by the Medic.
Thoughts?

Re: Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
I'll just supply this before Waffle gets publishing rights for the book he'll undoubtedly write in response to this thread:
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/team-fo...tml#post815656 But basically, if you spawn with a Heavy, or a Heavy is near you and you are going to use the teleporter and there is no urgent need of your particular class on the front line (there usually isn't), then let the Heavy (or lesser extent Soldier) go first while you run to the front. The Medic could probably run to the front before the teleporter recharges after the Heavy went through. Also let Soldiers go ahead if you are anyother class. They are important front line offense and you need them in battle as fast as possible. |

Agreed. Slower, high power classes should ALWAYS get priority on the teleporters.
Recons and Spies should NEVER, or almost never, use them.

Well, last time I checked, your extensively, extravagantly, and extraordinarily circumlocutory posts were extensively, extravagantly, and extraordinarily useful. In fact, you saved me probably forty or fifty man-hours at my job this summer with one of them.

Re: Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
I know in practice others may hog the teleporter before a heavy, but seriously, it should be common sense that a heavy/medic combo should go first if there's a line...

Re: Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
It would be even more common sense to not stand in line for a teleporter. Heavies excluded almost every class should be able to manage the distance between teleporter entrance and exit in the same time it takes to wait for the port recharge.

Re: Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
"Line" was probably not the correct term, I should have just said if there are others there. Otherwise agreed that classes other than heavy would be able to travel the needed distance within the recharge time.

Re: Teleporter: Heavy, after you...
Another tip is to call the teleporter. You call it, you get it. That way everyone knows hey you're a heavy or soldier and you need it.
I'd love to hear someone shout "Shotgun" for the teleporter. We need our own eclectic slang for TF2
