Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
I vote NO. I really have grown to dislike it. It seems to take the momentum out of the map rotations. Does anyone else have a different opinion?

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
I don't mind the map too much, but I hate how people play it. As a spy, my job is to get the intel and bring it to the choke point and die in a blaze of Level 3, but that's the designer's idea of fun so whatever.

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
I don't want to seem like I'm taking jabs since last time I posted here we weren't seeing eye to eye on Spy tactics but come on. You complain that people play the map wrong and here you are:
As a Spy your job is to help clear the way for the Scout who runs the intel home. Rushing when there's still sentry guns up is a recipe for failure and frustration. I'm assuming from the tone of your post you also find it frustrating and useless so why would you keep employing that strategy?

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
It's slightly frustrating but hardly useless, since it does result in caps, either by moving the case to a location where someone might grow a chest hair and go for it.
How exactly am I supposed to clear the way for a Scout?

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
Unless you have perfect timing (aka sitting next to each other), that's pretty difficult to do. Scouts on 2fort with more than like a 8v8 are usually just for distrupting snipers or running the intel back from the bridge.

2fort can be a very good and tactical round. Try different things and think outside of the box. Maybe try a different class for a change or a different strategy. Keep on changing it up and it never gets old.

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
Ok. so I guess the consensus is keep it on. This is probably the map that I experiment most with classes. But, I can stay on D with the heavy and Im pretty effective. I sit in the back garden and assist the engy there. Any threat to his sentry and Im there. Usually an engy and I are all thats needed for D, leaving the rest of the team to run on offense. If anything gets through I am waiting for it at the top of either staircase when it emerges. Its a thankless job but someone has to do it.

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
We talked a bit about this in the "Map Enjoyment" thread and I have plans in the next few weeks to start another thread where players can vote on which maps they enjoy/dislike.
2fort was very useful because it seeded the server and quickly back when the server was slow. That period seems to be well behind us, so if the consensus is that 2fort isn't an engaging map for TG:TF2, then we can look into removing it from the rotation.

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
Can't we just use well as our seeding map and drop 2fort? 2fort is one big choke point.

Re: Should 2Fort remain on the rotation?
I'd like to plug my $0.02 by saying that I can't be bothered playing on the TG server due to a string of bad decisions stretching from just about the day this game was released - a disappointment I might add that has caused me a fair amount of consternation. This map happens to be one of my favorites and, in fact, I spend the vast majority of my time playing CTF-mode maps. Removing it from the map roster would also remove my last remaining reason to investigate this server at all when those little "TG-Event" group messages pop up. Harsh words, perhaps, but then politics were never about playing it nicenice.
