Map: cp_desertfortress

See: http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/42802

Any comments, I think this would be a good addition to the server as we have a lot more CTF custom maps than CP maps.

Re: Map: cp_desertfortress

I'm too lazy to download it myself, but by the screenshots and whatnot, it looks like a solid map. I would definitely be interested in playtesting it, so send me a steam PM.

Worth a look. I'll see about getting it on the server for testing.

Re: Map: cp_desertfortress

I played this map on another server and thought it was a very solid map and had fun playing on it (even while we were losing). It's a rather compact map, so you can get where you need to go quickly and it's very symmetrical.

-Snipers can be nice and safe in their base and pick people off on point B because it's open, while point A is inside a building. Whether that's a pro or con for you really depends.
-Scouts can run circles around this map because it's compact, but I'd say you need a balance of offense and defense, especially defending the cp in your base. But I wonder if you could honestly dominate if you did a Scout rush...
-Soldiers and Demos can get on top of the middle building, which sucks for anyone else below them.
-There are a lot of great places for sentries.
-Compact means good for Pyros, of course.

There's my 2 cents. It'd be interesting to play on the TG server, especially with the longer respawn rates. I like longer respawn rates because it takes care of the problem where you feel like you JUST killed that dude... but that's another story.

Engineers are totally important in this map! I actually feel like pyros are surprisingly not useful, as there isn't a lot of ways to flank, but then again, they're really good at taking out scouts. I really enjoy this map, 3 thumbs up!

This is one of my favorite maps! I'll be on tonight and tomorrow and you can bet this will be on a few mapvotes.
