Ditto. The rounds got progressively more intense as folks learned the map and, per the design, it seemed that one team began to dominate when it figured out the importance of attacking and defending simultaneously. I think the games will get better and better on this map as more folks learn it.

Good stuff, Schwa!

Don't make fun of the tatoos, man. When you're masturbating competitively, your tatoo is the only name you have.

This has been my play experience too. Like I said, there is a learning curve. I resisted the initial feedback of making the routes simpler and it paid off. The alternate routes are subtle, but necessary. I think this makes the overall gameplay have more longevity, as I sincerely believe there is a lot of potential for strategy.

I especially enjoy starting a round as a demo man and rushing the enemy team's first objective point. This gives my engineers the necessary time to build up and secure our starting point, and often holding back one wave of attackers gives my own attackers the momentum they need to take three.

So far I have only seen a sentry farm on the West point, and that didn't stand up for too long. It brings me great pleasure to know I have created a map that isn't a turret/sniper fest. I would like to see more players try different defensive strategies. I think a engineer, medic, and heavy should be able to hold most sites for a while.

When the points are capped it gives a quick "x capped East (Pagoda)" I figured if the symbols were too confusing the players could refer to them by the cardinal directions. I'll talk to the artist about solutions that make the labels more clear. Do you think if the "You are here" signs in the spawns labeled the sites as such "pagoda, cactus, etc." that would be clear enough?

Updated Link

I saw a few servers hosting it already so it looks like the map has gotten out somehow. My project name choice didn't serve me as anticipated. Oh well.

Fenix, if you want to add this to the members download you may. It looks like this circlejerk is blown prematurely. <sigh>

Re: Map: ccp_CircleJerk

Looks to me like you should just name the next version ccp_pagoda. Clears everything up.

Re: Map: ccp_CircleJerk

There is a error in the map which lets you jump the fence and build underneath the map.
It is in the 'boot' or 'pagoda' section of the map, the corner next to the tunnel.

ccp_circlejerk_rc1_instant/boot
ccp_circlejerk_rc1/pagoda

Re: Map: ccp_CircleJerk

I like this map. Nice going Schwa!

Really might think about changing the name from CircleJerk though. If you know what one really is, it ain't PG-ish.
