Sm's can call a public map vote?

Hi,

I know this came up yesterday during play.

As a SM semi-admin I can kick people and change maps as I wish.

Can we put in a map vote system that is at least only callable by Admin's and SM semi-admin's that let all the players vote on the next map? I think this might be a good idea to in trying to build a consistent pop on the server. Also can help with us losing pop when some custom maps come up. (let's face it, this does happen)

(PS: Just looked at map cycle, imo take out Castle and Labor, maybe throw in Well as a replacement cp, and it looks good, but for g-ds sake PLEASE take Castle out of the rotation)

I'll answer my question.

I was able to set up and initiate a vote through the admin menu (which I just discovered myself, I like it!)

Thank you for giving me these rights as an SM. It means alot.

Castle is pwn. Labor is blah. Throw in Well? Drunk-status confirmed, take this man's keys away.

Read the announcements forum. Threads like THIS can come in handy.

Seriously, I know it's crazy, but there actually is some useful information there.

Fenix, I think your lust for sarcasm got away from you. It says nothing about a map vote in there, or atleast not that I can find.

Removing Castle? No Way! Castle imo is the best of all the custom maps we have on the server.

Yea... about that. Anyways, I'll look into writing a provision for the mapvoting.

[Fenix-level sarcasm]
Heheh... umm.. yeah, I did read it, and knew about every one of those commands. (btw, the admin say using @ doesn't seem to work for me, can u check that one out?)

What I just found out about the other day was a full GUI admin menu if you just type 'admin' and then from there figured out I can map vote (with no ones help tyvm). But like someone else said, you have nothing there explicitly about map voting and also nothing about how "admin" takes you to a nice menu that has all options including map voting and alltalk setting (which could clear up any confusion)

This is my first ever Source game so I am totally unfamiliar with this interface and also the first time I ever decided to donate to a clan hosting a server (and got any admin-type privs). Please bear with me.

Bah, you guys take me too seriously anyways.

If the @ commands aren't working in all-talk, that may be an issue when I updated BAT not too long ago. It's got another version out, so I'll look into revamping the write-up once I get the new version online and tested.

I could probably just pull out chunks of the write-up for the admin forum. Would make things a bit easier.

Hehe it's all good. if you want to add/change anything to that post you can just say to access the admin menu via 'admin' to see all the other options possible.
