Re: First Steering Wheel
One of the graces of having an analog accelerator is you can control the torque of the mustang. If you spread your power out enough or become real sensitive on the gas, a mustang can be tamed.
Grats strag on the wheel!

Re: First Steering Wheel
What Mirf said, plus due to the launch of GTR2 nobody hardly ever plays GTL anymore. So what does that mean? 98% of all the pub servers are deserted, we can literally play for hours at any pub servers without anyone ever joining the game. If you wanna hook up of something to just do some track time together, xfire/pm me.

Re: First Steering Wheel
Thanks much, guys! I ordered the wheel from Newegg today (as well as a new 20" widescreen LCD monitor ), so it should be here in a few days. I'm anxious to get it all hooked up.
Regarding the weekend times, I'll probably be the lone guy who has trouble getting in on the action. Fridays and Saturdays are bad for me, so I may have to participate only during the week via practices. Still, it'll be some good driving with TGers, so I'm looking forward to it.

Re: First Steering Wheel
Since I don't have my online key yet, I practiced in singleplayer last night with my new wheel. Wow. I think at this point, I'm actually better with the keyboard (from my Need for Speed days with the keyboard ) than I am with the wheel. BUT, I can see where I could get much better with the wheel than I am with the keyboard, given a little practice. I'm just not used to the wheel.
The only problem I had setting up my new wheel is when the Logitech device detection software disabled my optical mouse. I had to reboot, uninstall my mouse, and then reinstall it in the Hardware manager (all with the keyboard). After another reboot, things were fine and my system detected the wheel without issue.
I'm pretty happy with my purchase, and am looking forward to getting better with it. Good times ahead!

Re: First Steering Wheel
Great to hear you're up and running.
Since you got a Logitech wheel, be sure and check this post for the hotfix this brand seems to need in GTL occasionally.

Thanks, Mirfee. I didn't have this issue last night, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Re: First Steering Wheel
Cool. I know some folks have been plagued with it more than others. It's been intermittent for me, though it started to happen more frequently. Thankfully, the hotfix is simple, easy, and effective.

Re: First Steering Wheel
This is more for my reference, in case I forget how to do it later.
To enable 900-degree rotation in the Driving Force Pro:
Press Select + R3 + Right Paddle and the wheel will click and unlock into 900-degree mode.
To disable 900-degree mode, repeat the process.

Re: First Steering Wheel
Hi Guys. I have the bug. It'll be a week or two before I'm in the game, but...
Just out of curiosity, where do you get the ff drivers for the Driving Force Pro?
edit: nm I see now that you use the MoMo drivers.

I had the DFP too, all you need is the profiler (it is the same for all wheels): http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/do...contentid=6203
