My Copy is Here

I finally have the game, and I've been messing around with it. I don't have a wheel yet, so this has been all keyboard work. I've unlocked all the cars and have tried a few. I really like the differences between the cars. I tried the Shelby AC Cobra and could barely keep it on the road; it has an EXTREME amount of power.

I can already tell I'm going to like racing with a manual clutch. I've been driving manual transmission cars since I started driving, so it feels much more natural to me in the game. Will this be permitted in races?

I'll get a wheel next so I can get some semblance of control.

Re: My Copy is Here

Great to hear Strag. That Cobra *is* a hard one to find the handle on.

Manual clutch is definitely permitted. However, since most wheel/pedal combos lack an actual third pedal, the game has an autoclutch feature (not to be confused with automatic gearbox... an aid that is disabled on the server... you still have to shift manually). Autoclutch is the only driving aid enabled on the server, as most people tend to find a button a lousy substitute for a proper pedal. But if you can master it, by all means!
