Re: Games 'permit' virtual war crimes

One of the world's largest and most respected humanitarian groups in the world is investigating whether the Geneva and Hague conventions should be applied to the fictional recreation of war in video games.

If they agree those standards should be applied, the International Committee of the Red Cross says they may ask developers to adhere to the rules themselves or "encourage" governments to adopt laws to regulate the video game industry.

I would go ahead the nuclear war necessary to start the zombie apocalypse, but I only have 1 of the 2 "lunch" keys and I am too hungry for just 1 lunch

I used to eat paint chips. Now I just drink the paint because I couldn't find a salsa that went well with the chips and they were dry =)

I'm not sure how to interpret that.

Re: Games 'permit' virtual war crimes

I'm getting worried about the fact that this has come up more often in recent years. We used to play cops and thief on the street, with plastic guns when I was a little Sap saying: "piew piew, your dead". Now im doing "piew piew" on my computer and suddenly I cannot see the difference.

Maybe the writer of the article could better focus his attention to the fact that cigarettes are killing more people than videogames just to pick something, but hey that it just me..............

Real world violence blamed for increase in video game violence

SERVER CLUSTER 544021. Following the deaths last weekend of more than 30 million soldiers in the popular multiplayer video game Battlefield 3, a group of concerned video game characters is lobbying major global military powers to implement stricter regulation of real world violence. The group believes that “excessive, gratuitous, and mostly pointless violence all over the place” is responsible for alarming increases in video game-based violence over the last decade.
