Video recorder that uses the least resources
I was playing like Rambo in Jedi Academy, if Rambo was a psycopathically efficient lightsaber-wielding soldier of fortune. Then I decided to record some stuff, just for personal archive.
Then I noticed.. the game went by a lot slower (X-Fire), even in single player. Can't have that. I have it on lowest setting.
Anyone have any experience with recorders, and can say definitively which one is best?
Effect on lag is highest priority
VOIP is definitely a plus
I don't care if it has any other features.
While we're on this topic, how does Wegame work? From what I understand, if the game is compatible, you should see a green square on the top left of your game. However, it doesn't appear in any of my games.

Re: Video recorder that uses the least resources
FRAPS seems to be the defacto standard...

Last time I used the wegame client, it wouldn't work with any other overlay program running. I had to close x-fire and fraps for it to work.

Re: Video recorder that uses the least resources
Sorry to say, but, if your PC is struggling while recording and the settings in Jedi Academy are set to low, you're not gonna be able to get too much help switching to a different recorder, at least I wouldn't think so.
Jedi Academy was easily one of my most favorite games of all time though! I swear, when/if they make a new one, man, I'll be lost to it forever.

I meant the video recording on lowest resolution
Looking at my post, I worded everything pretty.. horribly.
Props to jedi lovers!
Thanks draeh and peardog for the help.
Why is FRAPs the standard? If I search for fraps vs xfire, Xfire generally gets better responses - better resolution, similar FPS, free.
Fraps vs Wegame, Fraps has superior quality, but Wegame is less resource intensive and has smaller videos.

FRAPS is more intensive, but it works out of the box for any game new or old. I know wegame, for one, has to be updated to work with newer titles when they come out.
