So, I need some input.
I recently bought me a new gaming laptop. It's all well and cool. I can run BC2 and everything else like a dream, but My faithful copy of Permier 6.5 will just NOT install on a x64 system......*sob* all these years......
So, what are some recommendations? I mean, I could just get some new premier version, but are there any other options. I know about vegas, but I've always liked adobe. I'm just wondering if there's any other good players in the field....and if anyone just HAPPENS to have any version of premier that will install on Win 7 x64 they're willing to part with.............

Re: So, I need some input.
I suggest you contact premier support, there may be some upgrade option from 32 bit Permier 6.5 to the 64 bit version

For a $100 the Corel Video Studio Pro 10 is pretty good, but has none of the gee wizz features a Premier users is familiar with.

If you're willing to deal with digital purchases w/o manuals, DVDs, etc, then you can find Sony Vegas for a decent price.

Re: So, I need some input.
Have you tried it? The site totally looks like a scam to me.
Adobe CS5 Design Premium ...
Download Price: $259.90
Original Price: $1899.00
You Save: $1639.10
No way that they can give away deals like that on every item.
Smells fishy. I don't like the idea of my personal and CC data in the hand of these people.

From what i gather I would not recommend doing business with this site. Even if the "download" works, it's most likely not legal.TacticalGamer European Division | Watch this (pretty old) video to find out what TG is all about

Re: So, I need some input.
I've been a long time user of virtualdub. It's free and open source the only bad news is that it outputs all files in .AVI form. I like it because it's light weight and more functional than Vegas when it comes to rendering footage.
I'm also an avid user of Final Cut Studio Pro (cheaper than Avid), it is the industry standard right now, but yes it only works on a Mac.
I've also started to use FFMpeg, which isn't very user friendly so MeGUI (also free) helps a lot in that regard.

Re: So, I need some input.
premiere cs5 is true x64 (won't install on 32bit) but I have used cs3 and cs4 on my win7 x64 machine, and both run smoothly. I would most definitely recommend cs5 though... It is an easy transition from 6.5, and has added a ton of features and functionality. the ultrakey effect alone is worth the cost.
