    Crash on startup

I bought WAR today, and successfully installed and patched the game. After patching, however, as soon as I clicked play, the game crashed. I tried to reboot and still had the same problem. I tried updating my video drivers, but that made the problem worse -- every time I tried to start, it hung my system and just displayed gray and black lines. DxDiag is attached. I meet or exceed all system requirements:

    Re: Crash on startup

Try updating your sound drivers (assuming you have a sound card with updatable drivers).

Can still upgrade them if you haven't already.

    HD Realtek

    AC'97 Audio Codecs

Assuming your motherboard is using Realtek sound.
