Tactical Gamer Weewar Tournament

We're going to shoot to start this tournament in the second week of March depending on how the sign-up process goes. Use this thread for any questions on the format of the tournament.

Tournament Format

1v1 Double Elimination
Random seeding
Random home/visitor (unless coming from losers bracket)
Maps: TBD
Units: Non-Pro Units (Trooper, Heavy Trooper, Raider, Tank, Light Artillery, Heavy Artillery)
Game length will be approximately two weeks

Game Setup

Home player has one day to start the game and invite the visiting player
One-day turns
Units: Non-Pro Units (Trooper, Heavy Trooper, Raider, Tank, Light Artillery, Heavy Artillery)
Game naming convention: "TG Tourney Game #####"
Games are to be open public games to allow spectators

Turn Time Limit

Turns should be set to one-day turns, however players should make every attempt to play multiple turns per day.
If a player is not going to be able to make their turn within the set time limit, please inform your opponent.

Game Time Limit

Games should be completed within two weeks. We'll evaluate if this is long/short enough every week
If a winner has not been determined within the two week period, the following conditions will be evaluated to determine a winner:
* Number of turns that were not completed within the 24-hour time limit
* Number of cities owned
* Position of units (i.e. is one player about to eliminate the other)
* Existing units value (e.g. percentage of hit points multiplied times the cash value)
* -- Note that cash value on-hand will NOT be considered as it cannot be validated

Game Winner

Must post the final outcome in appropriate thread
Must save a recording of the game until the next round begins

Prizes

(Subject to change based on the number of tournament participants)

1st Place: One month Tactical Gamer supporting membership AND One month Weewar Pro account
2nd Place: One month Tactical Gamer supporting membership OR One month Weewar Pro account

Other Information

Please PM asch for any disputes
If Weewar has any down-time we may extend the current round
If a bug shows its ugly head during a game we may restart the game
