Some new Wii games to look forward to

Looks like some pretty good titles coming to the Wii, and some are already out.

First one, the new Tenchu looks awesome, so far the reviews have been pretty good, IGN giving it an 8/10. The downfall, that it only supports 480i Widescreen. Also some of the dialogue repeats quite a bit, but damn it looks fun. This game is out now by the way.

Next game I'm looking forward to as well.

House of the Dead: Overkill (out now) Been sorta keeping up with this one the last couple weeks, the graphics actually look pretty good for the Wii. Also, this is the first game in the series that was not developed by the original team, but it has also received pretty good reviews so far.

Trailers - A little NSFW, bunch of swearing in the first.

    Next game up

Mad World, man does this game look interesting, the gameplay, and artistically (black and white-cell shaded look). I've only seen a few trailers for this, but after watching them, It's been put on my list of games to keep an eye on.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
The last one I'm keeping my eye on right now is called The Conduit. It looks like a new sci-fi FPS, I'm not sure if your on a rail, or its free roam style, I've only seen videos on this, but I hear Sega is trying to bring some mature orientated games to the table for the Wii, with the above games mentioned. Supposely, this game pushes the Wii's hardware to its limited, with the way its mapping its textures. It looks pretty good IMO.

Couple new videos for The Conduit.

It's got 12 player MP, and is Wii-speak supported. Sounds like they did not want to use the friend code system, but the hardware is built around that, but they are going to have a friends list in the game, which will help.

I'm also excited for Punch-Out, two player should give this a lot of replay value.

I don't play it much anymore. Mad World wasn't really that interesting. It's a good game but it was missing something that made it really fun to play for a long time. All you did is kill random grunts with the same few moves that string together into a combo. The blood bath challenges are fun but Wii controls aren't suited too well for precisely throwing bodies at targets. The boss fights are all about dodge, attack, initiate event where you follow onscreen prompts, repeat until dead.

The dialogue and art is great though. It's a pretty good story but the game play doesn't really intrigue me. The motion controls aren't really fun. All it does is make it easier to play.

I just beat House of The Dead:Overkill, probably the best HoTD game so far IMO.

Punch Out is pretty good but it's essentially the original Punch Out on the Wii with better graphics and animations. So far, all the old fighters are exactly the same. If you've played the original, there's nothing new here other than motion controls. The motion controls are fun to use and respond quite well. Overall, it's a good game but I would recommend waiting for it to go on sale. Full price Wii game price is not worth it.

Japanese has always had a thing for "odd" genres of games. I remember the Dreamcast having dating games, and Tokyo Bus Guide games, all very strange.

I just got a Wii a few weeks ago. I haven't added any friends or done any MP gaming. Has anyone played Resident Evil 4? Heard it was a solid game, was wondering what you guys thought.

I'm playing Metroid Prime 3 right now, played through Super Smash Bros Brawl and I've got Mario Kart.

Re: Some new Wii games to look forward to

I used to play and still play MarioKart over the internet sometimes. But I must say that the reason why I bought a Wii is gaming and having fun with people at home. It never gets boring knocking your friends out in box and 'showing off' your golf skills.

Also looking forward to getting the WiiMotion+ add on although that should have been in the same box with all the remotes from the start (nice market maneuver might I add). But from what I've seen that should make the new coming WiiSports 2 much more realistic and fun (especially sword fighting, although from what I've seen the game doesn't use it to the max, it still uses some specific motions to deliver some attacks)
