This is a top page of a Tactical Gamer In House Squad.

Description

The 4th Force Recon squad is a specialty team. We focus on Sniper and Special Operations work, concentrating on destroying the enemy's assets and providing long range cover fire (with scoped weapons), as well as eliminating enemy snipers. We fulfill the "Reconnaissance" part of our name by using whatever means the game provides to spot enemy units, and in this way aid the team's effort.

We are a mission-oriented squad that strives for methodical, orderly and tactical gameplay through the use of common and specialized Standard Operating Procedures coupled with the drive and determination to reach for an extremely high level of tactics and teamplay.

Team Requirements

In addition to Tactical Gamer inhouse squad regulations, all members of the 4th Force Recon must:

  • Display a level of maturity on par with Tactical Gamer requirements.
  • Own the games the squad plays (currently: Armed Assault).
  • Be willing to utilize the Sniper or Special Operations kits and to learn more about their uses in combat.
  • Attend scheduled practices.
  • Have the |TG-4th| tag in their handles.
  • Check the forum weekly.
  • Make a serious commitment to the team and to our goals.

4th Force Recon recruitment is by invitation only.

Standard Operating Procedures

This creates a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that the 4th Force Recon can put into action when attacking flags and moving, allowing us greater Situational Awareness (SA) and boosting our overall effectiveness as a squad.

Movement
General Movement
  1. SL gives SMs:
    • final destination,
    • movement formation,
    • action on contact,
    • formation on contact.
  2. SMs use the affirmative or negative key commands to show their understanding of the plan.
  3. SL gives move order.
Bounding Overwatch Maneuver
  1. SL gives SMs:
    • order to get ready for bounding overwatch, assigning an Alpha and Bravo team,
    • distance of bound or bounding points,
    • final objective/stopping point of maneuver.
  2. SL gives move order.
  3. Starting team moves, saying, "Moving," when moving and, "Set," when in position to cover the movement of the second team. The second team repeats the maneuver of the first team, moving when the first team is "set".
