[edit] Description
We are a specialty team. We focus on Sniper and Special Operations work, concentrating on destroying the enemy's assets and providing long range cover fire (with scoped weapons), as well as eliminating enemy snipers. We fulfill the "Reconnaissance" part of our name by using whatever means the game provides to spot enemy units, and in this way aid the team's effort.

[edit] Standard Operating Procedures: Movement and Flag Capture
From the thread:
The objective of this thread is to create a standardized procedure (SOP) that the 4th Force Recon can put into action when attacking flags and moving, allowing us greater Situational Awareness (SA) and boosting our overall effectiveness as a squad.
[edit] Movement
[edit] General Movement
- SL gives SMs:
- final destination,
- movement formation,
- action on contact,
- formation on contact.
- SMs use the affirmative or negative key commands to show their understanding of the plan.
- SL gives move order.
[edit] Bounding Overwatch Maneuver
- SL gives SMs:
- order to get ready for bounding overwatch, assigning an Alpha and Bravo team,
- distance of bound or bounding points,
- final objective/stopping point of maneuver.
- SL gives move order.
- Starting team moves, saying, "Moving," when moving and, "Set," when in position to cover the movement of the second team. The second team repeats the maneuver of the first team, moving when the first team is "set".
[edit] Flag Capture
[edit] Fast Attack
- SL gives SMs:
- objective flag,
- details for movement,
- a job (each) for when they reach the flag.
- SL gives move order.
- Squad arrives at flag; SMs each perform the duty assigned by the SL, reporting enemy presence in their area.
- Each member of the squad, including the SL, call, "Clear," when their area is clear or their job is done.
- When the SL hears the correct number of "Clear" calls, he knows the area is clear and the flag is secure, allowing the squad to move out quickly.
[edit] Helicopter Insertion
- Squad loads up into the helicopter and the SL tells the pilot the final destination and desired entry path.
- En route, the SL tells each squad member what to do, following the fast attack section above.
- Upon touchdown, the chopper pilot and one gunner stay with the chopper and have it ready to take off once the flag is capped, while the rest of the squad exits to perform its duties. The gunner is in view of the flag area or the most likely enemy retaliation route.
- The chopper takes off and repeats the process for the next objective.
