This is a top page of a Tactical Gamer In House Squad.

The E1st European Division is the first European-based in-house-squad at Tactical Gamer.

The squad was initially formed in February 2006.

The E1st is a squad for European TG regulars that play at euro-friendly hours. We are thus different from the regular US-based and usually game-specific ihs here at TG. Our primary games right now are BF2142, CSS and PR. But we are active in just about all the different game titles here at TG.

As TG'ers, our goal is to bring Europeans together on the battlefield to have fun, "the TG way". We emphasize on teamwork, respect and good old fun, not just within the squad but also with other TG'ers, regulars and newcomers.

The squad has a relaxed view of it's members gaming activity and ingame skill-level. We strive to make the E1st a squad to be in for a long time and have been successful in this so far.

e1stwikipimp6Calendar.png

This calendar contains euro-friendly gaming events at TG and internal E1st events. We put our best efforts into keeping it updated. But if you find events missing or have other questions/suggestions, please contact Superfast

Main calendar (xfire): http://www.xfire.com/clans/e1st/events/

Secondary calendar (steam): http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TG-E1st/events

We mainly utilize teamspeak when playing, but most of use also use xfire/steam. We also use an irc channel for day to day chatting for those interested. It's the #E1st channel on Quakenet. Feel free to join us there if you want. http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=%23E1st

Important Teamspeak note: Anyone can stop by the E1st teamspeak channel if they wanna say hi or just hang out. It's not an invite-only channel. This usually also applies to other ihs and their channels too. TG is a nice and friendly place for all. :)

e1stwikipimp6ConductRules.png

1) Obey TG server rules very strictly
2) Behave maturely in the forums and ingame as per TG primer
3) Must wear E1st avatar & E1st graphic signature & link to E1st wiki in signature, on TG forums
4) Must wear E1st tag in-game
5) Check E1st forums at least once per week
6) Play on TG servers at least once per week (RL allowing)
7) In games with squads on TG servers;

  • It's ok to create a squad and lock it to invite fellow E1st players, and then the guideline is to unlock the squad to allow visitors in
  • If there are not enough E1st players to create a full squad then in general open squads up to others, especially server visitors. On the odd occasion its ok to have a locked squad of E1st guys that is less than a full squad.
  • It is ok to have a small locked squad of E1st only if the squad name is a speciality squad eg 'heli' or 'assets' etc
  • If you have a full squad don't be clicky and just play game after game of a full E1st squad. We are an IHS that mingles with everyone else. The general guideline is to play alternate games, 1 squad just E1st, next game 2 squads of E1st + visitors, next game 1 squad just E1st and so on
  • Playing a series of games with the same squad where some of the people are not E1st is mingling and fine to do
  • The exception to this rule is if E1st get to the position with lots of players in one game and those players start practicising on the private server together, then for 1 night per week they can play on the TG server game after game of E1st only

8) We are an IHS that regularly reports server rule breaking to admins as a routine habit. This helps build server quality further. Teamspeak is our normal way of getting hold of admins
9) Teamspeak etiquette is to meet up in the E1st channel and then move to the game channel for the game that we are playing. This helps us interact on teamspeak with other players eg end of round banter and to also report to admins any rule breaking
10) We make ourselves available to meet up for gaming and chat to other E1st members. 1st preference is teamspeak, then equal second is xfire and steam
11) Be helpful & friendly to new players on servers & new people on TG public forums
12) If you are going to be absent for more than a few weeks then tell E1st about it. Extended absence without explanation means getting kicked from E1st
13) Maintain your supporting membership, this is an official TG requirement and not set by E1st. If SM lapses, for what ever reason, then you are not allowed to display the E1st avatar or sig until SM is reinstated. If SM lapses for 2 weeks then you must reapply of E1st membership like a new recruit

e1stwikipimp6Recruitment.png

We are currently not recruiting.

But the 49th Euro Divison is recruiting, please check them out: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/wiki/index.php/49th_European_Division

When recruiting we always recruit selectively, and candidates are evaluated based upon their fit into the team. The thing to keep in mind is that the application process is a two way deal. E1st is evaluating if a player is right for us and the player is evaluating if E1st is right for them.

This is what E1st are looking for in a new recruit;

  • 1) supporting member at Tactical Gamer !
  • 2) European !
  • 3) VOIP user !
  • 4) Mature teamplayer !
  • 5) Straightforward & positive attitude !
  • 6) Open to multiple games !

We only consider TG regulars. This simply means that you've been playing here a couple of months and that you read/post on the TG forums. This tells us from past experiences that a player is a TG regular and usually will stick around in the future as well.

Recruitment procedure

  • Step 1: The player is approached by or approaches the E1st Recruitment Officer (Bigeye101). The player is then invited to apply to E1st group in the TG forums. This offically kicks off the recruit-phase.
  • Step 2: E1st Recruitment officer creates a thread with the recruit's application in the private E1st forum. Existing E1st members then discuss the application.
  • Step 3: E1st members meet up with the recruit a few times on teamspeak & ingame to talk it all over... and play a few AWESOME rounds !
  • Step 4: If the recruit is right for E1st and E1st are right for the recruit then, great, the recruit then becomes the new E1st guy.

Please feel free to contact Bigeye101 via a PM if you have any other questions regarding membership.
