- Q What is the first thing I should do?
- A Make sure you have read everything in this forum: Battlefield 2 - Official Rules, Announcements & SOPs
- Q Now I'm on the roster does this mean I am a full 'Irregular' or are there other things I must do (serve a probation, do a tryout, pay for full TG 'supported membership' or something?
- A Yes you are a full member of the Irregulars, we have no tryouts or anything like that. There is no pressure to become a supporting member although it does have it's benefits. That is a decision for you to decide, but being a |TG-Irr| does not require it.
- Q As I am on the roster am I now then entitled to use the Irregular tag and avatar?
- A Your tags should be added to your forum signature, Teamspeak name and in-game prefix. Please see our front page for directions on how to add |TG-Irr| prefix using your global config file. Avatars are distributed by Irregular Officers only; copying others' avatars or or otherwise using an Irregular Badge without being given permission is grounds for dismissal. See Bdages in the wiki and the Irregulars Forum stickies for more information about badge avatars.
- Q Is there some way to identify on the forums who is in the Irregulars and who is not?
- A As of this moment no common signature design is in use, however all Irregulars should have identified themselves as an Irregular in their signature. Anything from a simple |TG-Irr|yournamehere to a nifty graphic.
- Q Although we are 'Irregulars' is there a regular night on which the group plays?
- A Irregulars by nature are often unpredictable in their pattern of times online, but there are almost always Irregs in-game in the evenings, i.e. 5:00 PM EST-1:00 AM. "Irregulars Nights" are Thursdays and Sundays, during which we make a concerted effort to squad up in our respective games and play together.
- Q I'm fairly new to all this tactical talk and TG in particular. Is there a practice time or training sessions I can get in on?
- A Practices are scheduled once or twice a month (depending on season) on the weekends during mid-day, and it is encouraged that every Irregular participate so that all the Irregs can play together and get to know how to work together cohesively.
- Q I'm a European member ~ are all 'meets' organized on eastern time rather than UTC?
- A Most times will be posted as eastern time. We have a strong European base so I am sure there will be some UTC events scheduled. Most "meets" and all practices are scheduled for every other weekend at 1600 (4PM) eastern which is 2100 (9PM) UK time, or 2200 (10PM) central European time. Of course European members are welcome to suggest a time that better suits them.
- Q Do the Irregulars use something like Xfire [1] to keep track of who's on?
- A Some members have Xfire and there is also TeamSpeak. We have our own TeamSpeak server (67.19.106.94:8767) so you can see who is on the server and Xfire names can be found here. Irregulars are strongly encouraged to use Teamspeak, as it facilitates a more interactive and rich gaming experience.
