|TG-SC| The 101st Siege Corps of Engineers
"Cum bellum calat, nos respondimus"
- The 101st Siege Corps is a Tactical Gamer In-House Squad (IHS) focused primarily on Battlefield 2142. We are founded on the ideals of teamwork, maturity, and self-betterment through community application of personal combat skill.
- Our specialty is the control of the battlefield via mechanized armor and artillery, and strategic employment of anti-vehicle munitions to counter enemy armor movements. We take heed of the successful armor tactics of the past and strive to invent our own for complete domination of the battlefield. In infantry-only engagements, we specialize in the deployment and detonation of anti-personnel munitions and explosives, as well as the elimination of high-priority targets from afar. Our shells strike without warning, and without remorse.
- The 101st is currently recruiting members from all over the world (Not only US based players). We are looking for individuals who either have experience in our fields of expertise, or are willing to learn the techniques for becoming proficient in them. Maturity, willingness to learn, and general attitude are all factors in consideration. Please send a Private Message to PM07SNV or LordKelvin with requests to join.
- The 101st holds practices on case by case basis on our private server, for scrims and other events. Outside of scrim practices, our members can be found playing on the TG 2142 general server. We generally squad up together, but open slots are always available to anyone wishing to play with us. We expect our members to be active in both our forums and in-game, and contribute towards the aims and goals of the squad on a regular basis.
- The 101st Siege Corps has a tiered ranking system. We strive to maintain a 1:3 leader:member ratio. Thus, our organization is as follows:
- 1 Siege Engineer (the commander of the 101st)
- 3 Senior Technicians (the officers of the 101st)
- 9 Technicians (the members of the 101st)
- At no time will the membership of the 101st exceed 13 active members, or 15 total members (13 active, two on extended leave)
- Members of the 101st are expected to adhere to the Tactical Gamer SOPs at all times, and behave in the spirit of the Primer. In addition, we expect members to actively pursue both the betterment of their own skill, and the instruction of others. In this way, we can ensure that everyone gains from their interactions with the 101st. Respect for fellow members and senior officers is a must.
- We expect all members of the 101st to follow the orders of their squad leader without question. Suggestions are always welcome, but the final command determines what the squad will do. Furthermore, it is expected that all members will actively communicate with their squad and squad leader via VOIP, or via squad chat, to report any and all enemy activity. We strongly encourage those without a microphone headset to obtain one. Relatively cheap ones can be had, and they vastly improve the communication and consequent effectiveness of the squad.
- The naming of squads led by a 101st member is left to his/her discretion, although generally naming it after a specific objective or asset is preferred.
- Use of the commo rose is expected as well. Spotting incoming enemy contacts as well as verbally reporting them make for more reliable info than one or the other alone.
- The 101st is dedicated to completing it's set objectives, and all members should always put forth their best effort to complete them.
- If a member anticipates being absent from regular activity in the 101st for more than two weeks, he/she is to request from the Siege Engineer to be placed on the On Leave list. An expected return date should be provided. If the member does not return within a week of the expected return date without notifying the leadership of needing an extension, he/she will be dismissed from active duty.
- If a member grossly violates the behavioral code of the 101st, refuses to follow orders, or otherwise is a harmful influence in the squad, he/she will be notified once of their transgression, and be asked to reform their behavior. If, upon investigation, said member continues to defy our policies, the officers and leader reserve the right to dismiss the member from the 101st.
