The second of TG's European Squads was formed March 2009. Our Aim is To be a home for mature european players who play with teamwork and respect whilst having fun at the same time. The squad has no game requirement or skill level. We only ask that you are a mature yet fun loving indvidual.

Recruiting policy

We recruit selectively, and everyone is evaluated based upon their fit into the team. The type of individual the 49th European divison is looking for is a person who is interested in the team first and winning second. We want players who don't care about individual performance but instead focus on doing what it takes to make the unit as a whole successful. This type of player we will gladly accept. Individuals applying must be a supporting member at Tactical Gamer, live in Europe, be a mature, disciplined and positive teamplayer and finaly have a mic

Recruitment procedure

Step 1: The player sends in an application. Step 2: Recruitment officer evaluates the application then creates a thread with the recruit's application in the private forum. Existing members then discuss the application. Step 3: Members meet up with the recruit a few times on teamspeak & ingame to talk to eachother and (most important) play together Step 4: If everybody agrees - we'll welcome a new member!

Recruiting Status

The 49th European Division IS recruiting at this time.

1) Obey TG server rules strictly

2) Behave maturely in the forums and ingame as per TG primer

3) Must wear E49th avatar & an approved E49th graphic signature & link to E49th wiki in signature, on TG forums

4) Must wear E49th tag in-game (various formats are available depending upon which game you're in)

5) Check E49th forums at least once per week

6) Play on TG servers at least once per week (RL allowing)

7) In games with squads on TG servers;

  • It's ok to create a squad and lock it to invite fellow E49th players, and then the guideline is to unlock the squad to allow visitors in
  • If there are not enough E49th players to create a full squad then in general open squads up to others, especially server visitors. *On the odd occasion its ok to have a locked squad of E49th guys that is less than a full squad.
  • It is ok to have a small locked squad of E49th only if the squad name is a speciality squad eg 'heli' or 'assets' etc
  • If you have a full squad don't be clicky and just play game after game of a full E49th squad. We are an IHS that mingles with everyone else. The general guideline is to play alternate games, 1 squad just E49th , next game 2 squads of E49th + visitors, next game 1 squad just E49th and so on
  • Playing a series of games with the same squad where some of the people are not E49th is mingling and fine to do and is a great way to get to know potential recruits to the E49th!

8) Teamspeak etiquette is to meet up in the E49th channel and then move to the game channel for the game that we are playing. This helps us interact on teamspeak with other players eg end of round banter and to also report to admins any rule breaking

9) We make ourselves available to meet up for gaming and chat to other E49th members.

10) Be helpful & friendly to new players on servers & new people on TG public forums

11) If you are going to be absent for more than a few weeks then tell E49th about it. Extended absence without explanation could mean getting kicked from E49th

12) Maintain your supporting membership, this is an official TG requirement and not set by E49th. If SM lapses, for what ever reason, then you are not allowed to display the E49th avatar or sig until SM is reinstated. If SM lapses for 2 weeks then you must reapply of E49th membership like a new recruit
