[edit] About The Mod:

The Project Reality mini-mod is a modification for the Battlefield 2 engine. The developer's aims are to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) to recreate a realistic combat environment. This includes adjusting the game's various elements that include physics, visual effects and gameplay. Along with changes to how the game handles, the PR team intends to include additional factions such as the British Military, and add to or alter existing factions so that they resemble real life military elements found within their respective environments.

PR 6v6 Ladder Tournament

  • This tournament goes by the following ruleset:

[edit] Quick Summary of the rules:

- 6v6 Infantry only; NO arty, NO vehicles, NO using vechicle mounted guns (but stationary mounted guns are OK) - Best 2 out of 3 rounds - 30 minute round time limit - kit limiting: only allowed to use a maximum of 1 Support and 1 Sniper, and a maximum of 3 of any other class.

[edit] How you win

The first team to win 2 rounds wins the match (best 2 out of 3 rounds). (Note, in the unlikely event that a round results in a tie, then neither team has won that round, which means a match could end up going more than 3 rounds - however long it takes till one team has won 2 rounds.)


[edit] Match Details

All members of all teams are responsible for treating each other with respect during the match. Due to the lack of a language filter, please respect those in the server at all times and please don't be careless with your language. The server, as well as all members of each team, should be running the latest patch approved by PR League.


[edit] Commander Mode, Squad System

Teams are allowed to utilize the squad system to its full functionality. The commander mode can be utilized legally with the following limitation: use of artillery at any time during 'live' matchplay, is illegal and will result in an automatic forfeiture of the ROUND it was used in and forfeiture of side choice for round three (if needed) on behalf of the violating team. Supply Drops are legal.


[edit] No Vehicles

Entering a vehicle at any time during the match, whether you use the weapon or not, is prohibited. Doing so will result in an automatic forfeiture of the round it was used in and forfeiture of side choice for round three (if needed).


[edit] Class Limitations

There are limits on how many of each player class can be used by each team. Each class is well balanced and can be equally counter-acted by a smarter player.

You may not have more than 3 of each of: - Spec Ops - Assault - Engineer - Medic - Antitank

And you may not have more than 1 of each of: - Support - Sniper

We understand that there needs to be a bit of flexibility in this given that sometimes you pick up dead medic's packs, or other packs when you run out of ammo. However, teams that blatently disregard these kit limiting rules will be penalized at the admin's discretion.


[edit] Draws And Overtime

Each side of the map is to be played before any OT periods. In the event of a tied map (each team has won a single round, or tied on round 1 and/or 2), a third round on the same map will be played. The team that gained the highest amount of tickets totalling both rounds is allowed to choose which side they would like to play on round 3. If both teams are tied in totalled tickets, the defender will have their side choice for round 3. If by chance the 3rd round is a tie, the opposite team will be given side choice. Side selection will alternate per OT until a winner is determined.


[edit] Server Crashes

In the event of a server crash during a round said round should be replayed. All previous round results will stand. In the event of repeated server crashes (2) the other teams server should be used however this will not hinder their option of side choice.


[edit] Server Requirements

Servers must be running the latest version of PunkBuster to be eligible for match play.


[edit] Team Size

Each team is to fill a minimum of 4 positions and a maximum of 6 positions. If a team is unable to meet this requirement, the offending team must either forfeit or re-schedule the match at a later date with cooperation from the opposing Team captain. If neither Team is able to fill 4 positions at the start of the match, the match will be nullified unless both teams choose to play the match with less than the number of required players.


[edit] Punctuality

Teams are expected to be on the server and ready to play with the minimum number of players at the scheduled or agreed upon time. Any team that fails to be present with the minimum amount of players and ready to play on a server 15 minutes after the match start time will forfeit the match. This rule is more for the future of this ladder when hopefully it becomes well established. For now we expect that teams will work the scheduling out - we made this ladder to bring teams together to play actual PR matches, and there is no fun and no point in trying to get forfeit wins.


[edit] Conduct, and Cheating

Excessive dolphin diving and prone spamming will not be tolerated. If a team feels there has been excessive use and abuse of dolphin diving and prone spamming in a match, they can file a dispute. Guilty teams will receive a warning and if they continue to be a problem, they will be dropped rungs on the ladder, or other possible penalties depending on the severity and recurrence of the problem.

Un-sportsmanlike conduct during matches will not be tolerated by the PR League. If an admin is called in to resolve an issue regarding un-sportsmanlike conduct the judgment/punishment will be swift, efficient and final.

Racist or sexist remarks will not be tolerated.

Simple, straight forward... Play nice.


[edit] Smurfing/Ringing/Double Clanning

Smurfing/Ringing/Double Clanning is signing up for more than one team (or the same team) in the same League, either under the same name, or a different name. It is also the act of playing for a team you are not registered to play for, under a false identity.

Players Caught playing on more then 1 league team will be suspended and the team will at the discression of the admin recieve either forfeiture, suspension or removal of the league.

Playing for a team you are not registered to play for is prohibited. Playing on more than one team per league is also prohibited, as is registering multiple accounts for use on the same team or ladder.

Any player caught smurfing will be Suspended or expelled from the League and may be banned. Second offenses will result in the team or teams involved being remove from the League. Teams are also subject to recieving forfeit losses of there match if found to have Played Smurfs.

Practices are on Tuesdays and Fridays at ~ 6PM EDT. Private Server.

[edit] How to Join:

Go Here and sign up for an account. After you are signed up and logged in, go to Options | Join Team and apply to join Tactical Gamer with the password: teamplayftw. You should now be part of the team.

[edit] Matches:

This is a ladder, and we will challenge other teams to matches. We can pick 2 time to challenge and which map we want to challenge them to, and they pick one of the 2 times as the match time, and they pick which side they want.
