[edit] Recovering a saved game

For Windows XP, navigate to the following directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

Copy the saved game from the "AutoSave-MultiPlayer" and copy over it to the "Save-MultiPlayer" directory. Copy both the .save file and .stats file. Make sure to observe the time stamp of the file so you are getting the correct autosaved file. If you cannot find the directory, make sure you can see hidden files.

[edit] Adjusting the AutoSave interval

Open the following file in Notepad:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\user.setting

Change variable "AutoSaveTickFrequency" to desired autosave interval time in seconds.
