[edit] Recruitment

TGU is always recruiting veteran players that wish to pass on their knowledge to others. These instructors are passionate about spreading their wisdom and awareness to their fellow soldiers.

To become a TGU instructor, you must be a supporting member. Next, you need to put in some time with TG and the community. We need to make sure TG is the community for you before you take on this leadership role. You don't have to be an expert in all fields of your game. If you can bring knowledge of your game to TGU with a good bit of experience, you are likely to do well as an instructor.

We will accept candidates for all game titles. If your game isn't in TGU yet, we'll review with your game's administrators and officers to see if this is a good course for you and your game.

You will be expected to run at least 2 courses every year to remain active within TGU at a bare minimum – once a quarter is preferred. You will also be involved with developing training modules with other instructors. Your classes will consist of 3-20 people, so you need to be a people person and able to deal with people less knowledgeable. TGU is always recruiting veteran players of their favorite games. These instructor-candidates are passionate about spreading their wisdom and awareness to their fellow soldiers.

First, we are only accepting supporting members. Next, you need to put in some time with TG and the community. We need to make sure TG is the community for you. There isn't a set time frame and will be discussed with the candidate if it's an issue. You don't have to be a master in all fields of your game. If you can bring a basic and some sort of advanced area, you'll do fine.

We will accept candidates for all game titles. If your game isn't in TGU yet, we'll review with your game's admins and officer to see if this is a good course for you and your game.

You will be expected to run at least 2 courses every year to remain active within TGU. You will also be involved with developing training modules with other instructors. Your classes will consist of 3-20 people, so you need to be a “people person” and be able to effectively communicate concepts to your students. You must have VOIP and TS running and working.

Applications are accepted by the TGU Dean and reviewed by the TGU Administration Group to validate TGU needs and applicant qualifications.

[edit] Class Requests

If your looking for a class, please post in THIS THREAD. This goes for any sponsored game at TG. Even if your game has no assignment to TGU yet. This is to get a idea of what is needed and where we should place our resources.

[edit] TGU Training Recognition System

TGU uses a Pin system for recognition of completed modules. For each Module that you attend and complete you are awarded a small Pin that you may post in your signature in the forums to show that you have TGU training in that area of expertise. You can find the SOP for the Training Pin system Here: SOP: TGU Training Awards

If you have attended classes and you are not sure what badge you have earned, you can look at this thread for official class completion notices: TGU Qualifications Master List
