Well, most of us Americans wont be offended by such a name.. For some reason the Euros get a little upset over the whole nazi thing.

IMO, it would be like catholics being upset over my name. It is silly, but some people cant take a joke.. It is just a game. Just a name.

how about going back to them with.. lemmoR .. lemmoR.E .. or another play on the name.

Well, I'm English and I'm not offended. I find names like '1337killerZOMGWTFH4X0R' more offensive (annoying too) than E.Rommel.

I went pubbing the other day on BF2142 and killed a guy about 20 times and his name started with "E1337". I whispered to him that he wasnt that leet.

Yeah, those kind of names just show arrogance and childness. But a name like E. Rommel fits well into this kind of game because it shows you know something about history and are mature and cultured enough to have a right to live.

Our job is to make this place as enjoyable as possible for everyone, regardless of age, sexuality, race or nationality.

I will discuss this matter with the rest of the crew and we will return to you with more information shortly, we apologize if this matter has caused you to feel mistreated.

I've already settled on The Devil's Cross if they decide to not give it back to me. For those of you that haven't read Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising, its what the Russians referred to the A-10 as.

Geez, I had to throw a nonsense comment into this discussion.
As most have stated a major crash course in History is what that abuse team needs. If they even had a page out of a college History course. Atleast they could realize they are being ridiculous and absurd. I mean come one turn on the History Channel for crying out loud! They do run a nice piece on Rommel every couple of months.

Ah yes, that's a great book. Really hard to put down, I'd recommend it to anyone here over about 14.

Nah, it pretty much died when I said that I didn't want a political debate, I just wanted my name back. Of 90 or so posts, the majority of them was just pointless back and forth garbage.
