Smaller # of players? more points?
I was wondering..if you created a 2 v 2 game..do you get more command points to create more units?? I would think on a larger map you would get kinda watered down a bit if you didn't..

isn't there a low number of player mode, where you can play 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2, and have everything, all roles, unlocked for you, and all command points for you.

Magnum is right, If there is four players or less then you can activate few player mode (any higher number of players and the option is unable to be checked.) where all roles are available at their normal price with your teams command points all for you or split with your partner if its 2v2. Control groups are your friend in few player mode.

Oh how cool... I've never played on that mode... Nice!!..
Now only if I can try Vineyard... I miss it on the rotation all the time!...

I wonder how popular the different modes will be as the game ages. The main thing differentiating this game from other RTSs are the dedicated modes, but then again these dedicated roles often have fewer than 8 units to command, not much of a strain/challenge for top notch RTS players.
If I had to bet my money, competitive play will shift towards the few players mode which allows for greater control and display of skill.
