UPDATE #5 RELEASED
The fifth World in Conflict update is now live! This update fixes some bugs and balancing issues, but also introduces several brand new features, including a feature that prevents team stacking. This feature, which is completely optional server-side, divides players equally between the two teams in the beginning of every match based on their experience and skill. As always, the update will be downloaded and installed when you connect to Massgate, or you can download it manually here:

NEW MAP RELEASED
A new official Domination map called Countryside is released. This map can be downloaded for free by logging in on Massgate, or by visiting the download page on www.massgate.net. For user-made maps, don’t hesitate to visit www.wicbase.com and the official map-making wiki, wiki.massgate.net.
MOD KIT RELEASED
The official World in Conflict Mod Kit is released. The Mod Kit, along with the already released map tool WicEd, makes all aspiring modder’s dreams come true. With a wide assortment of different tools, the mod kit let’s gamers create just the mods they like, be it a small balancing mod with tweaks on unit stats or a full-blown total conversion mod. Please visit the download page of www.massgate.net to download the latest version of the Mod Kit! Also, please visit our official wiki on wiki.massgate.net to get a kick start on how to use the tools.
LEADERBOARD CHANGED
We have changed the player ladder a bit. Prior to the change, we summed the score of your 20 best games the last 7 days and used this for ladder score. We have now increased the time to 21 days. This means that the score of your 20 best games over the last 21 days is used as ladder score.
AWARDS FOR WIC
Worldwide praise for World in Conflict! As various websites and magazines list their favorite titles of 2007, World in Conflict is a frequent appearance. Gamespy for instance lists World in Conflict as both the #7 PC Game of the Year (officially cited as “PC Top Ten”) and the Game of the Year – PC Strategy!

MOVIE MAKER TOOL UPDATED
With the release of the X-mas trailer, the World in Conflict Team also releases a new update to the Movie Maker Tool, which allows inspired directors to record sound in their movies directly from the game. This new feature is included in the regular World in Conflict update #5, and you can learn more about how to use the tool by reading the latest manual here:
