Re: World in Conflict

It has dedicated server support so we could get a server going for it.

God the idea of everyone in an 8v8 game with a mic and communication will be gaming perfection.

Re: World in Conflict

Yah teamwork in this game is...let me say, DEVASTATING. Typically its helicopters vs helicopters. Well i managed to play with another TGer for a day during the closed beta. He used the helos, and i set up a bunch of heavy anti airs to travel with him. He nuked tanks and infantry, and if helos came, I nuked those.

Speaking of nukes, THEY ARE FUN!!! to launch

Re: World in Conflict

Does seem helos dominate however I've seen if you start running an all heavy AA squad you tend to piss off the helo players and they will choose something else.

Just learned something. For those of you limited to the open beta, you will be limited to two maps. Where as thoes of you with a pre order key get and extra map.

Re: World in Conflict

Did anyone know if this was like other betas, and you can only use the cdkey once? Probably so, but I wanted to install it on XP since I've got it on Vista. I'm to lazy to boot into vista more and learn this darn game.

Re: World in Conflict

i played a bit this afternoon for the first time. Its crazy. You really need cooridination to do well. Its still a bit too fast paced for me but lots of explosions = awesome. Wait till you see a nuke in action...holy balls.

Re: World in Conflict

I played a bit over the weekend and my first impressions are mixed.

The game is pretty to look at and the interface seems friendly enough.
The game play is way to dam fast (IMO). The pubbie game-play has already found some of the best unit combos and smaktard tactics. ie. Dropzone armor Helo raids.

Ide like to get a game with just TG so I can play with different units and abilities. In the public games there is simply no time to experiment.

Re: World in Conflict

You need at least 4 people working together to get the maximum enjoyment out of it currently.

Without that it's just mayhem inc.
