There are two main changes with this latest update that will affect any that use the craft site. One is how a player edits their characters, and the other is how glyphs are inputted and searched.
First off, a player must
edit all their characters to show which profession those characters know. Think of this also as a
filter. When you continue on to the edit page within the crafting site, your results will be filtered and limited to the recipes that fall under the selected professions. (
Note: When dropping a profession, please delete the recipes of your old profession before editing your professions themselves.)
Accepted profession titles are:
- Alchemy
- Blacksmithing
- Enchanting
- Engineering
- Inscription
- Jewelcrafting
- Leatherworking
- Tailoring
Changes have also been made to the
Inscription profession and how items are displayed. Each class will be displayed, with the appropriate class color and either 'Major' or 'Minor' headings below it with the glyphs below in alphabetical order.
(NOTE: All Glyphs are to be considered WotLK material.)
With this change to Inscription also comes the ability to
search for glyphs in a special way. Instead of needing to know the name of the glyph, a player can instead
search for a class, such as 'druid'. If you wanted to narrow it down to Major Glyphs for the Druid class, you'd search for 'druid-major'. Notice that the structure is the class, followed by a hyphen, then whether it's a major or minor glyph.
As always, if there are any questions concerning these changes, please feel free to ask in the forums.
