Guild Christmas Party!
Happy Holidays!
We'll be having a casual guild party on Sunday night at 8pm server time. Once again, we will have a Secret Santa event where everyone who contributes a gift will receive one as well. We will all roll the dice to determine the order we get to "pick" our gifts, and others will be able to steal your gift when it's their turn to pick, just like last year. I'll outline the rules a little more clearly in the next day or two for now, start thinking about what you would like to bring! If you find what you want to give away, please mail your gift to Luna in game. I will wrap all of the gifts and distribute them at the party.
We will also have some sort of tournament that will be determined shortly. I'm thinking a pvp ladder match, personally. I'll pick something and let everyone know in advance of the party so you can come prepared.
Tell your friends, bring your festive santa hats, and stock up on booze. The more the merrier! See you all Sunday night.

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
So, the contest has been decided. However, I am going to keep it as a Christmas surprise for you guys, so you can truly enjoy it. However, I did want to let you guys know that it will *not* be pvp oriented in any way.
Keep the secret santa gifts coming, and PLEASE do us all a favor and only give gifts you would personally like to receive. No grays, no random useless junk. Gag gifts are always welcome, though.
See all of you tomorrow night!!

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
Heh...
Luna is going to send herself a crap load of messages via mail and then post the letters to the guild bank. Everyone picks one letter and the winner is done by lottery.
Dibs on Otterly's Soul and First born child. I think Arkamis' soul is in there as well, but it may have gotten moldy.

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
So, the guild Christmas party went really well. It took us a while to get started, but once we started up it was a great time.
We were randomly broken up into groups of three people, then one of those people volunteered to create a level one gnome. That gnome was stripped naked, and put on a Christmas outfit for good festive measure. We then had the teams race from Ironforge to Undercity, while pvp flagged. The first team to successfully escort their naked gnome into the throne room of Undercity won.
There were many, many deaths, tons of corpse walking and lots of random aggro from beasts looking for a tasty gnomish snack.
It was a hell of a walk, speaking from a level 1 gnome perspective. My "entering combat" text would scroll and I'd panic. "Help!!HEEEELLLPPP!" My favorite part was when my wonderful team member, Gaze, ran way ahead and attempted to train random mobs on the groups in the lead. We held the lead for a couple of minutes but lost it when I died at the hands of a bloodthirsty murloc.
Great night!
In retrospect, if I did this again I wouldn't have allowed healing- if you let your gnome get aggro and die, they should've needed to corpsewalk back to their sorry bodies.
Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
That must have been the shortcut that got you all the way to 3rd place. Did you swim from Alterac or Something?

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
Shamans can cast water walking on other people I believe. As such you could have the gnome walk across the lake.

Re: Guild Christmas Party!
No buffing was permitted. Thus, we should've stayed on dry ground.

For some reason, I just pictured an army of naked gnomes walking on the lake to Undercity. I'd be scared.
(Have to be level 30 for water walking btw :P)
