Re: Restructuring/Redefining Our Guild

Fair enough. Harsh words though.

Squads were made so that there was less micro-managing and players could structure themselves. This has worked very well, in my opinion. Yes we are more like guilds inside of a guild, but Resurgent choosing to run a poll to further their goals doesn't make them self-absorbed. The squad is checking to see the needs/wants of it's 30+ members.

There are 7 days of the week. Resurgent members don't want to raid on the weekend. So now there are 4 possible days. We tried the other day that wasn't on a Delirium raid day. It didn't work. We "warned" them so they could recruit. We didn't want them to suffer by our need to run. This isn't self-absorbed.

Re: Restructuring/Redefining Our Guild

So you will poll your own platoon to make a intelligent decision on their wants and needs but not the whole guild???? Sounds logical.

Re: Restructuring/Redefining Our Guild

Crim, you are going around in a circle with the same argument.

I said I had no problem with asking 20 people (so why not 30), but 150 is unrealistic.

Do you have an issue with any of the original post?
Do you have an issue with redefining TG's Name as one of a Mature guild that focuses on Teamwork and Progression?

Don't argue with the fact that I announced it without asking for the opinion of every individual of TG. Argue that the end goal will or won't affect you. And before you argue, try thinking about what I propose.

Changing TG's image on the Thunderhorn realm will not change the game play here for most. It will, however, broadcast our name to the server and allow for more recruits to fill in holes within the squads.

If you want to jump on TS, jump in a TS channel, and run 5-mans, this won't affect you.

Re: Restructuring/Redefining Our Guild

Crebis, my problem has always been the fact that this is everyone's guild, not just one person's. Everyone should have the right to choose who the officers are of this guild, not just you. By you picking who you think/feel should be officers, here are some of the things that it has done.
It gives the appearance that you want people solely from your squad/platoon because you all have the same common goal "end game".
It also gives the appearance that you don't care about the other 25 man grp Delirium.
It puts your grp as Elitist and everyone else as nothing or insignificant. You told me the other day that you almost pulled resurgent out of the guild. Based on that statement it really gives me the appearance that this was one way for you to solve your problem without leaving. Do I think you did it for that reason? No, but like it or not thats the impression it gives. When you give everyone a voice on who the officers are, you elimate all of these appearances.
I would also like to say that I think that the two raid leaders from Delirium should be officers. I have ran with them on a few occasions and I can honestly say they are the best raid leaers in this guild bar none. They treat poeple with dignity and respect and carry themselves like real leaders should.

Re: Restructuring/Redefining Our Guild

Well, I am saddened to see this post come to this. People attacking people. I am not taking sides but if you look at this logically. I like to think that I am a member of TG and I hope that I am respected somewhat.

If you look at the officers, they are part of resergent granted but they also do stuff for the guild not only for resergent. They recruit for the guild, they take care of the bank, they are the most vocal (LUNATG she never stops talking) etc..

Those who are not officers does not mean they are not appreciated, they are and that is why they are of higher rank than everyone else. For me them not being officers make somewhat sense because they do not do stuff outside of raiding. (don't take it the wrong way) They do support their 25 man and their 10 man but does that make them officer material?

Junebug, this forum isn't those for crim and those against crim.. it is, is what talara is doing right and in short it is a debate. I am not saying what crim says is wrong far from it, but that does not mean that my voice is any less important than his.

I have to talk about resurgent moving to monday and what I feel about this. yes, we did try different days to get the third day, in the end most of the resergent members said monday would work for them. Are we stepping on toes of the other 25 man.. I would like to say no. Reason is as follows, those that joined up with resergent knew that this should come first. one because it is their main and two is it right for our 25 man to suffer because some people want to run on their alts? This is a catch 22 really.. Why should we suffer because some people want to run on their alts on monday but then again why should you suffer because we want to run our mains on monday. The answer should be neither should suffer.. it comes down to this.. what group does the person what to run with. I am sorry but yes they should pick.. You can't have your cake and eat it too..

But back to the main arguement. Should talara ask the guild who should be officiers.. I say no because 1.. there isn't really much of a change between what was and what is and 2 we need to trust in the GM to make the right choice.

That is my 2 cents
