Re: 3.0.2 Patch notes....
Well I'm stuck on the full blue bar of doom again *sigh*. Why does Thunderhorn always have issues?

Re: 3.0.2 Patch notes....
Hot off the blue press, just for you, the latest nerf for shadow :-D
We need to fix two problems with Shadow priests. One is that their damage is too low, especially at epic level. The second is that stacking Vampiric Embrace from too many priests probably represents a balance problem. These changes will go live before Nov 13.
Vampiric Embrace -- we need to nerf it, but we don't want it to be terrible for priests in small groups or solo. So we are going to make it 5% healing to your group (not raid) but 25% healing to yourself. Assume the talents that affect it get it up to this level.
Vampiric Touch -- we're adding some of the damage adjustment to this spell, by doubling the coefficient (from 0.2 to 0.4).
Shadowform -- we're adding the rest of the adjustment here. Your Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague and Vampiric Touch do an additional percentage damage equal to your critical strike chance. Basically if your crit is 25%, your SW:P does 25% more damage. This has the side effect of making crit a little more useful for Shadow priests

Yeah Arg, it just takes a little while. Hearthing/portal from one major city to another puts you back into that holding area though

It doesn't look like it'll have any real stability tonight - I'm guessing a hotfix will be in the very near future.

Zamjam,
I may have had a similar problem. Can you provide more details? A screenshot perhaps?

Re: 3.0.2 Patch notes....
I got to the last download. The 389mp. it completed all the way to 100%. It then gave me and error message the it could not locate the updater. I have a newer laptop with vista. My other computer "XP" was fine. So it wont engage the last part to upload the patch. I can get to the log on screen but it just redownloads the same 389 patch. This is the error* The file "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe" could not be read. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. Re: 3.0.2 Patch notes....
Save the patches, as WotLK will ship with 3.0.1, and you'll need to re-apply the patches that come out after that.
