Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
your absolutlly right in you thinking volk, Im relizing now that I could have used better words.. we are trying to prepare for end game runs... In fact we are in the procsess of adding some very needed stucture to the guild. All I ment to say is we are not a guild who stricky runs instances. as i said before i could have used better words. I too look forward to runing MC, and other such end game instances, we need your help and the help of others in the guild to get there... we have to work togeather, and I think we need to have fun geting there.

Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
OK I've read I've kept quiet now I just gotta say.. First of all most people need better giear for some of the larger instances. ZG has it's own sets. So WHY are we focusing on lower end sets to get into and instance that is going to give us all new sets. BTW have had more opportunities than I can caount to get "MY SET" as far as I'm concerned the valor as a set sucks. what I'm wearig has better armor and stats then valor with the complete set bonus. by like 2000 armor. 50 strength 20 ajil and 80 stam. So why on earth would I want to trade it in so I can get a set that wilol be worthless to me as soon as I can get into a group willing to commit to frequent ZG runs. What we didn't kill the 3rd boss?? who cares we have taken out and can farm the 1st two for our coins and sets.
Whats the problem?? the " this isn't and end game guild" mentality the making commitments then changing your mind. If you did that in an end game guild you'd be out. period. The real problem is that althogh we have plenty who want to do ZG, onoxia, BWL, and MC we don't have the talent base spread willing to commit the time and effort to do these instances we have the warriors the healers ( proven) who jump every time one comes up but as far as casters last two they all bailed. In these instances they require a well rounded group. The gear will come with time and effort sets are not required and are just an excuse. what we need are people willing to commit themselves to the time and the place because one short screws everyone.
And that is why people are talking about going to end game guilds is they find themselves ready to do that but aren't gettig the support from the other classes. I'm bored with BRD, I hate Scholo and only thing I want outa strath are stitches and orbs, and so far haven't gotten a thing from 5 runs thru UBRS or always get switched to LUBRS because of lack of the right classes. so much for my chromatic breastplate. Last time i was in there no one would skin anything but the big dragon " the scale doesn't come off the smaller ones" Yes I almost gave up BS and took up skinning so I could prove them wrong.
Why would I want to keep running these instances once I came accross this? Why would anyone? For set pieces? these are the low end sets. Show me someone that has the belt of shrunken heads and I'll be impressed. But ask me to run the same instances over and over for a valor set... I'll go farm for my cat. There is no challenge in rerunning an instance again and again. NONE. and the only reason to do it is if the reward is such that it will considerably improve what you already have . Look again at the rep sets comming out of ZG. yet hearing "we suck" and " you have to have your sets" to run it. have really improved attendance. All it's done is gotten people talking about leaving for end game guilds.
Heck of a tactic there.

Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
Tasra your reading this wrong. I started this thread for those people in guild who told me that WOULD NOT RUN END GAME UNTIL THEY GOT THIER SET PIECES. I understand where youre comming from saying its low end. I have full Valor minus my boots(which btw, does not suck, check where me and you are on the damge meters next time and see who's on top) but ive dedicated the last 4 days of gameplay to getting people set pieces so they would be more encouraged to run endgame. The negative attitudes comming from the majority of people reading this is really getting on my last damned nerve. I want epic pieces just as much as the next guy, but why are we going to do an endgame instance when half of our group is sporting crap green items, especially when theyre are so many better items out there. If you dont want to run the instances for set pieces, thats chill, a lot of people do. Dont knock those who have put so much effort into organizing this for others, especially when some of us have spent the last 4 days and getting nothing out of it. Its not about me or you, its about guild, and the guild wants their set pieces.
End Rant.

Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
Yea I have checked out the damage meters skeet I've also noticed the dps on your blades is 42.1 to my 40.2 and I'm still not THAT far behind you with a heck of a lot less rezzing on my part. I believe THAT and not the "set" is what increases the damage meter.. I also noticed when asked what your armor rating was last ZG mine equaled your with shield before I ever slapped mine on I push close to 8000 armor with sheild. don't knock it.
Its not about me or you, its about guild, and the guild wants their set pieces.
End Rant.

we are not an end game guild.. bottom line.. if you feel this is what you need to have fun... you might want to consider another guild.
I's SO nice of you to speak for the "Guild" but from the replies I've seen I'm not the only person who disagrees with you . There are a LOT of people who want to run the bigger instances. You know it's a real shame that a few individuals will basically force them to other guilds to advance their play with attitudes like yours.
I was attracted to this guild because they were talking of getting ready and considering end game instances. From some responses I'm not the only one. The simple fact that you have to run the same instances over and over for the same people should say something to you skeet. Some are willing and determined to get to where they want to be and DO WHAT IT TAKES. while still others want to whine and have it done for them. And still not show up when luna puts out the call for a big run. So if you wana run the same instances over and over and call it fun.. say this isn't an end game guild.. more power to ya..
Me.. I get bored too easy and if you want to hold yourself back and be proud of running the same instance 4 times a day, thats your choice..
You wanna tell me I won't be able to run ZG, BWL or MC with this group.. Then you just made this guild a stepping stone to get to where I want to be instead of someplace I want to stay.

Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
Tasra, we are not tanks, Arms/Fury build isnt for tanking, with that AC you need to be protection, but hey play your toon however you feel. As far as my gear goes, I got those from Strat/Scholo, it wouldnt take to long to get you the same.

Re: Skeets Rant: Set Pieces
Alright, everyone in here needs to please take a moment, breathe, and listen up.
Everyone needs to take a moment and carefully reread this thread. It is a POSITIVE request to accomodate the needs of some of our guildmates. This is not a declaration of law of what EVERYONE must do- it is addressing those who WANT to go about preparing for end game in their own way. There is nothing wrong with this whatsoever.
Tactical Gamer is here to accomodate the members of the guild. This means if you are hoping to run end game, we would like to do that. If you would like to work on your tier 1 armor set, we would like to do that. If you are interested in other facets of the game (farming, pvp, etc) we also would like to do that. We are here to help you accomplish your goals, no matter what they are.
What everyone seems to be forgetting is that this game is intended to be enjoyable for ALL of us, regardless of our in-game preferences. I would like to personally do ALL of the above facets of the game, and am happy to see folks spearheading the efforts to really get what it is they are looking for within the guild- ZG runs, armor set runs, etc. They are all things we can do- they are not mutually exclusive to eachother.
We do NOT need to be giving eachother a hard time for working on the features in the game that appeal to them. We are able to do more than one thing here at a time, guys. There's nothing saying that we can't run instances for set pieces during the week, then plan to do ZG runs on the weekends. Post the invitation up on the forums, and spread the word- people will come along.
We also do not need to be giving particular people a hard time for not being on the same page as others. No one in this guild should feel overly pressured to participate in a raid because they HAVE to. I want people to WANT to be there, not feel like they have no choice. This is not a cohesive, positive environment to demand they participate in.
We are working our hides off to be ready for end game runs, and will be there in the foreseeable future, provided those currently involved to not get run off by feeling forced into something they don't feel ready for. If someone wants their Tier 1 set, more power to them- let's help them out, if it will make them feel more comfortable in end game preparatory runs. They will most certainly feel more confident joining us on our runs if we give them the help they need.
This thread is not here to pose a debate to the guild on what each of us would like to see from the guild in a month. This thread is here to help others group together for similar interests. It is not an opportunity to start telling people everything that is wrong about how they choose to go about acheiving their goals.
This negativity needs to end right here, right now. No one in this guild should be making people feel bad or angry about their personal preferences. We are here to help eachother and treat eachother with mutual respect. Addressing this negatively will only serve to make your personal concerns significantly worse. Tactical Gamer is here to support you in your ENJOYMENT of this game.
I respectfully ask all of us to check our negative attitudes at the door. We have many things to accomplish as a guild- bickering amongst ourselves will not get us anywhere.
