I need money before I can do either, for now I am just playing my free trial into the ground. Hopefully my finances will surprise me and I can afford to keep playing.

One of the topics discussed in our last officers' meeting was that

anyone attending the MC field trip should be familiar with the Raid SOP

Compliance with the SOP will make you welcome for future trips. Failure to comply will cause more problems than necessary.

At this stage of the game, we seek "progress, not perfection"

I'm a GO, Officer, and Admin here. I'm familiar with the rules son.

Besides, I won't be on this field trip anyway.

You don't need FR until after garr, and then DI plate is the way to go. You will eventually want 295-300FR, or AT LEAST 255 with a FR aura from a pally.

Guess I've got some gear to acquire for my tank...and the irony(!) is that Dark Iron plate requires components that are only available in MC. Hmmm...now the problem is to survive long enough to get the mats for the DI plate.

That's high, mebbe overkill. Many tanks I know in MC don't hit the 400 defense, but manage with resists/stamina gear.

The entire FR line though is crap. I'ld rather my tank has resists (generally fire, shadow for Lucifron/Gehennas, Arcane for Shazzra) than more stamina. Lots of folks downplay resists in favor of Stamina, and don't see the difference. Hell, I saw the difference resists did just bumping resists to 150 at cost of stamina/intellect gear. It was worth it.

I might be a go for this field trip if you'll have another druid. I am hoping that I can find some internet access for Saturday night or I won't make it. I will also being playing on my laptop which will be another hinderence, but since we are not trying to pwn the place (even though we will).
