After action Report...

We got this rolling a bit late with Lis, Candreynn, Ricca, Zedd and Beep. One of the keys for this, (playing hint coming!) is class balance that enables good crowd control...and the crowd control tactic changes as you proceed from the undead entrance area to the scarlet side. Most pulls in scarlet side are 4 mob (2 melee, 2 caster), so having a group that can sheep one, sap one, main tank one and off tank the fourth is critical...all the while trying to deal with patrols, back spawns, etc. The other "key" is to move fairly quickly so that when the inevitable wipe occurs, you don't have to reclear your path to where you were. FWIW, this seems to be a two hour respawn time.

We had some time constraints, so we bypassed the Cannoneer in order to get to the Archivist and achieve two quest objectives ("Of Love and Family" and "The Archivist" quests). Mission Accomplished....we then decided to tackle the end boss (Balnazzar). We did fine 'til he morphed to demon form...and then wiped us pretty fast. Admittedly we were tired with yellow/red armor status at that point, but that didn't dampen our satisfaction at achieving our main quest goals.

My quest reward, BTW (after two more quick links in the chain), was the Ornate Adamantium Breastplate (807 armor, +22 stamina, +10 defense). This is one of the best (if not THE best) blue armor pieces in the game for tanks.

Thanks to all who came, especially to Zedd who jumped in at the last minute to fill a gap. It is very, very satisfying to do this with a good 5 person group. For me, this is one of the great pleasures of WoW and our guild.
