    Symphony of Destruction

So... what's everyone listening to while grinding rep or questing? When game sounds are non-essential, I usually rotate:

    - any kind of metal at all, from hair to hardcore/death (especially Manowar)
    - Dub reggae from this amazing free internet radio : http://radio.rightonscales.com/
    - Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew" 4-disc set

I also scoot around on Sirius Satellite Radio online from time to time

I've got 14gb of Trance & Techno that I play on random: Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed, Tiesto, etc.

LOL Amrod! I went to a Manowar concert once while in High School (have most of their cds too). My ears rang for 3 months and I believe I knocked 2 people out. My friend caught a full stage-dive to his face after I ducked it. It was a blast - OTHER BANDS PLAY, MANOWAR KILLS!

I actually don't listen to music while playing.

Right now I'm playing to avoid real life issues. Too many of my MP3s will bring real life to the game.

Heh...maybe it's a generational thing, but I turned off ALL the background music in game. I find any music at all to be a distraction.

There are a lot of "sound clues" in the ambient/combat sounds in the game. Some of these can be masked by other audio/music.

I prefer knowing as much as possible about what's going on around me...and if sound helps, then I want that input in as pure/clean a form as possible.

Beep, you'd have to do that in Nax. Freaky noises all the time in there.
