Re: Raid sign ups!!!
The mages seem to have a natural rotation set up. We don't have too many mages who haven't been able to get into a raid, we are just lucky I guess. I think if one person of a class lets the class know that they have been queued a lot and not able to get in, somebody will let them take thier slot. If this doesn't happen, then the class leader might have to rotate someone out.
If you are not on a raid, that's prime time to get a guild 5-10 man raid done. You'd be surprised at how fun some of these instances are with the right people. Guild runs have a much higher rate of success, much less dieing, and much more fun.Anahlahna and Friends

Re: Raid sign ups!!!
I agree guild runs can be so much smoother, like the DM tribute run we cleaned up last night. But let's not forget our roots, too. We all have to PUG, and on off-nights I enjoy pugging just for hahas. There are bad pugs and good pugs, and stupid people and amazingly good people that you see and go, "how come you're not in our guild?!"
I find that if you go in with the attitude of, "hey, let's see what I can do in this pug to have fun and goof around and maybe even scare them a bit" then pugs too can be crazy fun!

Re: Raid sign ups!!!
Another point on PuGs. They tend to get their bad reputation from peoples bad experiences. True bad PuG's are a way of WoW life but I have also been on exceptional PuG's that tore through instances like finely tuned killing machines.
One other positive of PuG running, you get to work with other players from other guilds. As we progress through the uppers instances (BWL/AQ40/Naxx) we may need to turn to these other guilds for guidance. So it's better to have a number of allies and resources. It's also a distinct possibility that you could learn something from another player. There are a lot of VERY good players that still PuG it!“Waiting to be awakened by some unexpected thunderous roar, never dying...the sleeping giant lives and will sleep no more”. - John Seabrook

Right, and on the other hand, it's always sweet to roll into a group of greenies wearing full purple. They idolize you!
(Not that I get my kicks off that or anything... >.>)

Re: Raid sign ups!!!
We had a good thing going with the tgvb channel. There should be something like that with the good guilds, so a pug from that channel will be a good experience every time.

Re: Raid sign ups!!!
That would be a cool idea. Unfortunately, not all the good players in good guilds share our mindset. Last thing you want to see is someone from some other guild spamming a channel.
