Re: Ragnaros -- Hunter's question
As far as I know the damage from lava will happen regardless of FR.

Re: Ragnaros -- Hunter's question
I have resisted damage from the lava inside and outside of MC many times.

Re: Ragnaros -- Hunter's question
Yeah, you can resist the lava damage. What probably happened was the lava damage was sucked up by a fire pot you had on actually which is why it looked like you took no damage. You take damage regadless of if you jump while swimming because there's actually a small range you can be outside of the lava and take damage.

BTW, one of the purposes for the two pallies standing next to beep, since our healing assignments are less defined, is to heal the people that decide to drop in and say hello to us.

Re: Ragnaros -- Hunter's question
I made my decision during the last Rag fight. i will not go full FR gear. I will, however do as I did on the second attempt and go half fire resist gear. I kept my fire resist at about 102 and had a fire pot and I did just ducky. Feigning cleared agro. That was easy. Not all of us can afford to not be in FR gear however and that is understandable.
Ive been on Rag fights in full FR gear (226FR) and been knocked around EVERY time that aoe kb happens. So, Im not too sure I believe that your FR plays a part in whether you do or dont go for a ride. It does, however, help with mana loss caused by the sons. As a hunter, you can eaasitly feign, switch to all FR gear and quickly get back in the slaughter. Feighn again, change abck to half/half for Rags. Get ItemRack.
Hunters... you need:
- 1 Mongoose Elixir
- 2 Fire Protection Potions
- At least 1 healthstone
- 2 Health Potions
- 2 Mana Potions for on the fly mana regen
- Feign/Mage Water
The above is PER ATTMEPT. And you will be fne.Lead, Follow or get out of my way

That's pretty much par for the course with all classes, too.

This is a great point, doof. Guys, it really takes a LONG time to gather all the mats for all this stuff as well as handing it out. This weekend I'll be able to work the setup in about 2 minutes now that I'm more comfortable with who needs to be where. So try to do some farming and bring your own potions if possible! I bought a stack for myself and drank them all. It was 15 gold worth of stuff, but think of all the lewtz it got the guild!

Re: Ragnaros -- Hunter's question
Is this per RAG attempt? IF so, I don't think the fight lasts that long. My mage (for the killing of Rags) used the fire pot before the fight started. The only other potion I used was a major mana pot. Priests did a good job and I bandaged when I could (I did use Jan's cookie too).
