I have to agree with Altor about the alts thing. And regarding "alt night" one night a week is not good enough for those that are actively trying to gear their alts. And constantly doing zg and/or aq is not even close to being good enough.

    Your right!

Respectfully speaking, If thats the case then I think we need officers to let us know the decision.

    Status update...
    1. The officers had discussed this...a lot...before posting the poll.
    2. We wanted input from the guild...hence the poll.
    3. We have discussed more...and have drafted a "final" policy which is being reviewed by the officers.
    4. Official policy clarification and update on this in just a few days, guys!

And knowing is half the battle...

    What's the other half?

The will and ability to subjegate and cause wanton destruction in order to further your own wants, needs, and ideals...also big shiney weapons...lots of them.

I disagree with the idea that the alts are ready for MC. We need to get them geared in majority blues, as many alts are not. If we have an alt night where we are all alts, we won't get to Luci if we are all in greens. The second reason is that we had about half of a raid of 20 on thier alts last time we tried. Calling an MC run "alt night" if only 6 of the toons in there are alts is a joke. We need to allow people to level thier alts to 60. We had a hard time in ZG with Snake, Bat, and Bloodlord with half alts. We are not nearly ready for alt night at MC. If your alt is ready for MC and your main is all set, then queue it for MC, maybe you'll get in if your alt is still in guild, but nobody is going to drag you around on alt night - everybody will be working hard to make up for sub-standard gear, and less game experience from that point of view.

Re: Mains vs. Alts concerning Raid Sign-Ups

Actually, while that is a common trend it is also a very common misconception. The quality of the items a person has on them has little to do with if they are an alt or a main, but the amount of effort and planning put into it. There are just about as many mains running around in full greens as we have alts in blues and purples. This is before running ZG/AQ20/MC with the guild too.

In short, if the person playing did a 'grind' to 60 then they will end up with more greens than blues. If someone instead did quests or instant runs to 60 then you'll see more blues and purples than greens.

The main problem with having alts running over mains is simply lack of experience. People who do a few things in only a few different ways may have difficultly learning and then doing something different in a new way. If you took a raid group in all purples, but with little experience in MC they'd have just as much trouble (if not more) than a group in all greens who have been farming MC and know the instance inside and out.

Re: Mains vs. Alts concerning Raid Sign-Ups

I think the problem some are having is that they DO have alts that are MC ready. Its the minority of alts, but so what. Those alts should still be allowed to go... WITH the understanding that they take a back seat to mains when it comes to loot. Nobody has the right to tell someone that they cant play a toon that they've developed and worked to get ready for endgame that they cannot bring that toon on a raid.

Re: Mains vs. Alts concerning Raid Sign-Ups

In contrary to this thread's results (I can only fault the lack of people that voted here), we are going with a Main/Alt signup preference only. Once in the raid, any on the run will have an equal chance at loot. Beep should be posting the "politically correct" version soon on the forums.

DKP rules still apply and 3 runs are needed before allow to bid on DKP raids (40 mans).
