Re: Motivational Speech from an End-game Junkie.
Cryptic? Oh...right. I don't think you were there at the start of the last few raids I've been on. The conversations over TS have been...interesting...to say the least. I'm quiet sure they were the reason for a few of our wipes.
For those who actually want a back story on that...meh...fine. :P
A candle or lantern in the window or porch used to be a signal to travelers of a welcoming hearth or the end of a long journey. You know...before electric lighting made it impossible to see a light very far and you could see bright lights from miles away. Hence the saying "we'll keep a light on for you when you return" and "we'll keep a candle burning" which boils down to meaning "we hope you have a safe journey and return home".
A red lantern in the window or porch is a play on that and a signal for a house of 'ill repute' or the residence of a prostitute. Hence the term 'red light district'. In such places the only things not for sale would be the madaam, bouncer, majordomo, and book keeper.
Also, if I'm being more cryptic it comes from spending more time at work and less time actually playing lately. When you have someone whining to you that they have a migrane and need a shot of morphine because it 'really really hurts' you tend to get somewhat short with people. Especially if you really do have a migrane, are popping pain killers every 30 minutes to still function without passing out, wearing sunglasses at 10 at night because its too bright out, and can't see straight. Seriously have no patience for people who stomp their feet and want their fix of morphine 'right now' when people are still being treated for having a heart attack.
Oh yeah. BTW Manny? Sex sells
My sanity is not in question...
It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.
Light, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they ticked me off.

RAWGRLRLRLRRLGLRL!!!
Nations are like individuals: they achieve more when they plan to plant a tiny tree, and do it, than when they propose to raise an entire forest and then fall asleep in the furrows.
