Applying to another guild - official policy
The guild officers have clarified our official policy regarding TG members who apply for membership with other guilds. We have updated our FAQs to reflect this policy and have stickied this policy in the Announcements and SOP forum. What follows is a quote of this policy:
Applying to another guild: If you are a TG member and decide that you would be happier in another guild, we wish you well. We also expect you to immediately cease your membership in TG at the time you apply to another guild. While we understand that there can be many reasons to change guilds, remaining a member in TG while actively seeking to join another guild is inconsistent with our goals.

Re: Applying to another guild - official policy
So folks...here's the deal...
If you have an issue or a concern, you can raise it with your class leader or any officer. If that doesn't work to your satisfaction, you can "escalate" to the senior officers (Crebis, Luna, Ricca or Beep). That's your last court of appeals. I won't guarantee anyone the answer they would like...but I will guarantee that your issue(s) will be discussed and reviewed. If you want to rant or complain to your neighbors, that may make you feel better but it won't accomplish anything positive. Many issues are raised in these forums. The forums are a place for respectful dialogue. If you want to be a flamer or disrespectful to others, or if the tone of your post leans too far in that direction, it may be deleted. Your officers work hard to be fair and consistent, but a large guild like ours encounters new situations every day that may require new policies or clarification of existing policies. We try to insure a minimum of drama and maximum of mutual respect. This also takes some time since we do have serious and extended discussions at the officer level. The most recent example of this is the "new" Mains/Alts policy statement. I'm sure we didn't please everyone, but we made our best effort. In the final analysis, if someone is really not happy with how TG operates, you can "vote with your feet" and join another guild. Following that path, our policy is that if you apply elsewhere, then you should resign from TG before applying.
