I've been told by several that the shadow damage that is dealt is non-substantial and that FR should be focused on.

With that said, when you are offered the cloak, please request which resist you want put on it...we'll handle the rest...Specify SR or FR...sorry if I/we read this wrong.

(No more arguing which Resist is needed...we'll leave it up the the individuals...less talk, more walk.)

For firemaw, you will want to be in your FIRE gear, not shadow.

However, while shadowflame is NOT partially resistable, it may be totally resisted. If you look at your Tier 1 gear, it has either Fire or Shadow resist. So for Ebonroc and Flamegor, I'll probably be wearing my [item]Lawbringer Legplates[/item] instead of my Judgement. And, from my experience and what I've confirmed in others' experiences, if you can push 150 SR then you'll be avoiding enough damage to be useful.

Ark, if your having to wear SR gear on those 2 fights to avoid eating a SF.. someone is doing something wrong. ONLY fight anyone other than melee dps classes should have to wear ony cloaks on is Nef. Cause if those drakes SF the raid.. its pretty much over.

EDIT: Tarenth, the SHadow of ebonroc is simple to overcome, use 3 tanks and have a taunt rotation going on. Not worth taking more damage for the slight chance you'll resist a shadow.

Basically Rogues and warriors will be the first classes to "need" the cloaks. During the 3 or 4th boss fight, all other classes will use Line-of-sight to stay out of the shadowflame. This is not possible for melee though.

By the time we reach Nef, all in the raid will be required to have the cloaks and we'll be handing them out more readily.

We currently have enough mats to make 30-35 cloaks...and we're trying to hit Ony at any chance we can.
    Thanks for responding Crebis....

The LOS trick that you mentioned was the part I was missing and makes total sense. As long as I can still be effective in those dragon fights without the cloak (sounds like I can), I won't be complaining that I don't have one.

(BTW, 24 bolts of runecloth were sent to the bank to help out...)

Yeah... Palso said what i was gonna say.
When we do those fights, if anybody gets shadowflamed, they're screwed.

FR is way more useful on the Ony cloak.

And guys, don't freak out about the fights you haven't seen yet the three drakes are a huge joke. We won't have any problems with them. I promise.

With Vael down it's a walk in the park to Nef, with an old homeless guy that pesters you for awhile called Chromag.
[23:28] Wyzcrak: Exactly. There's no problem that can't be solved by the right topical creme or Google.
