Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
I honestly don’t think it worth that much... the first reward, [item]Drake Tooth Necklace[/item] is very, very, very far from something like "ZOMG", I’d say obsolete if you consider some drops I’m going to link here.
Yeah, that’s what you’ve read: DROPS. No need to spend time with bs quests...
Just a reminder: We will NOT need any nature resistance anytime soon.
Truth is:
i) We’ll be hitting AQ-40 only after BwL is in a farm;
ii) AQ-40 sucks and I’m glad most of our experienced raiders in the guild agree with me on this, by the time TG makes BwL in a farm, we’ll have other interesting instances in BC to work on it;
iii) After finishing BwL and gearing our people we may dream with some Naxx.
So please don’t tell me you want that junk because there is nature resistance on it!!!! Duh...
That being said, I’m gonna present here a few necklaces within our possibilities/limits to get:
I’d gladly keep my [item]Soul Corrupter's Necklace[/item]; (drops from Hakkar)
Or
[item]Choker of Enlightenment[/item] from Lucifron - MC´s FIRST boss...
Or
[item]Jeweled Amulet of Cainwyn[/item] World drop (LBRS, Scholo, etc...)
Or
[item]Jin'do's Evil Eye[/item] Jin´do - ZG
Or
[item]The All-Seeing Eye of Zuldazar[/item] Priest ZG rep necklace.
Or
[item]Wavefront Necklace[/item] Lord Skwol in Silithus.
This was just a quick research...
IMO, if you have the quest let’s help this unfortunate guildie finishing that depressive chain but if you DON´T... cheers! Let’s kill a couple of trash mobs or bosses we already have in a farm and "voilá" we’ll get you something better!

Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
In honest, this quest chain isn't about the rewards. It's about doing a once in a lifetime questline with some interesting stories and chinematics. Just my opinion though. That's why i'm doing it : )
Thunderhorn:
70 Night Elf Priest-Lunaar(holy)
70 Human Mage-Alava(Fire)
70 Night Elf Hunter-Insai(Beast Master)
70 Dwarf Paladin-Ginoldor(Protection)
70 Human Warrior-Revenged(Protection)
70 Draenei Shaman-Tianora(Elemental)
70 Draenei Shaman-Fayrel(Restoration)
Gilneas:
50 Undead Priest-Eikyl(Shadow)

Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
Sacred.....I have been one of the few who didn't care for AQ-40 but I'm finding out that it is one of those natural progressions in the game. The nature resist gear we need to conquer Naxx lies within AQ-40.
Just FYI, I know one of the guilds on our server, who skipped AQ-40, and has now stopped raiding Naxx to raid AQ for the appropriate gear."Remember that all things are only opinions and that it is in your power to think as you please."

One a very very very small side note. If any of the casters want the Legendary staff, then i'm sorry to day that part of it comes off Cthun after you get the parts from Naxx. Just food for thought

Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
Agreed. I'd have a great problem if there were plans to not do AQ40, because It looks like a more interesting instance than most, and Frankly, I like the rewards. Not to mention all of us casters who want a chance to put together an Atiesh, eventually. because of it's portal, and it's aura, that is one piece that will almost assuredly be a great asset, even in BC, with level 70 gear. There's not exactly a whole lot of gear that gives 2% crit to everyone in your party, or the comparing aura for each class, and that'd help entire groups in a raid. And I know that I for one, certainly wouldn't mind carrying around half a moonkin. It's also one of the most challenging instances currently in game, and is supposed to have some very unique fights. I for one, would like to experience that content as well, not just the most efficient loot. And also look at the BoN rep reward armor...that's some of the best gear in the game right now. Some pieces, I'd place above Tier 3, especially for those classes who's Tier 3 contains nothing but +heal, and could use an alternate +dmg/heal set.
That being said, for the head...It Understand the need to turn it to someone already working on rep with BoN, but how about those of us, who would desperately like to work on the rep, but are not agents yet? I know i would certainly like to start building up Nozdormu rep, but without knowing who is able or willing to make me an agent, i have no way to begin. If we want to give it to those who are already high with nozdormu, we have to make sure to spread the agency around to others as well.Currently Playing:
Age of Conan - Xercos (80 HoX), Miklos (57 ToS)
TF2 - Zarius

Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
We need to be deputized.
As what I’ve said from AQ-40, let me rephrase it, probably I wasn’t clear enough...
One thing is a stupid internal dispute for this head once the reward is obsolete.
Another totally different thing is having that quest for a long time and a personal wish to finish it, I personally would love to finish if I had already started it.
That being said, I think we can literally farm AQ-40 once we are all in tier 2 or preferably close to level 70, it would make things easier...
For those dreaming with a necklace plenty of and nature resistance and pimp stats, take a look on these ones:
[item]Amulet of Foul Warding[/item] (Prophet Skeram)
[item]Necklace of Purity[/item] (Sartura)
Many interesting necklaces and gear without NR too.
I’m not saying that we "must" skip AQ-40 because there is absolutely nothing good at all there, but the time it takes to master this instance is almost the same time it takes to learn BwL.
So, IMO, if we delay AQ-40 until the moment we are ALL in tier 2 and a few of us close to level 70, it will make everything easier and this instance will factually become a farming zone for us.

See 40man will still be around after BC, AQ40 and Naxx.

Re: Head of the BroodLord "Only One May Rise"
bump
Tonite Haletma got the head. Not only did he have the most carapaces in the guild, but also the most DKP... so it worked out perfect.
So, what next?? do we consolidate for Hale or help more then one person on the questline?

Ok, can we get 2 lists going, one of who is actively wanting to work on this quest line, and the other being those who are willing to run hives regularly to help gather the carapaces for the people who are running the quest line.
